Works well. Turns on with power up
Auto turns on with power up. So you can use it to limit the amount of time an alarm/device runs for. Would be even better if there was a 0 setting for the OFF setting.

Easy to use. Just turn the dials to your settings.
Yes this timer is easy to use. It is not digital. It uses knobs which you turn to set the times ON and OFF. It will plug directly into an interior wall socket. Then you plug your device into the timer socket, set the ON / OFF durations and it works. The best part about this timer is how easy it is to set the times. It is like setting a wind-up kitchen timer instead of a digital timer. Turn the dials and done.

Beneficial for hydroponics return pumps
I use these to time my return pumps. This allows me to run my emitters constantly without worry of the reservoir running dry or the return buckets over flowing. Turn the supply pump on and watch the return buckets fill up. Set the on and off timers to 15 minutes on the repeater. When the return buckets reach the desired level, plug the unit with the return pumps plugged into it, into an outlet. The unit starts with the on timer. When the level in the return buckets is just above the pumps lowest pick up level turn the on timer down slowly until it shuts the pumps off. Now watch the return buckets until the desired level is reached, then turn the off timer down until the pumps start. Check all the levels over the duration of the next few cycles and adjust as needed for the desired levels. It's that easy. The unit makes a click when it turns on and off. Other than that, it makes no noise. I have 2 of these products. I did get a bad one and Amazon replaced it within a few days. I do recommend these.
