They have to be quartered at least in size anyways for it to cut them. It will probably do potatoes but only if cut to a manageable size. My tray has a crack already **Q: Can you slice thin long slices of onion?** A: Hi, no. I do believe it just chops and makes spaghetti veg. **Q: Is this easy to clean?
