Review: Finally the last installment!! My set is complete!! - Idk why I was behind on not owning this book cause I was on top of the first 3 and then the 2 From Christian’s point of view. I got addicted and then got addicted all over again with the ones on his side of the story. I guess with Covid and other things personally going on in my life just had my clueless about this last one. I knew there had to be a third one to come out sometime; and I heard after I found out it had been out for sometime that there was a delay on this one for some reason. I guess the time between the 2nd one and this last one just had me lost about hearing about this one coming out. And now I have it and I can’t stand to not be able to read it yet cause I’m currently reading a book at the moment and I won’t to finish what I’m on right now before starting this one. It is gonna be hard to not throw my current read down and just read this book but I’m gonna fight temptation and just hurry up on the book I’m on now so it will be that much better when I do finally get to read this one. I already know it is gonna be a great read; It does kind makes me sad in a way cause that is the last one and that is it in this story. I will have to get some of EL James other books to read cause if I loved all of these fifty shades of 6 books; I’m sure I will love other stuff from this author. I own all the movies too. I have the regular ones and also the book looking collection series of each movie. I loved fifty Shades. But just like the twilight series! Everything that is so good has to eventually come to an end. Always. Got to make room for other stuff that we will love just like fifty shades, twilight, Lord of the rings, Harry Potter and etc. Yeah, I love all kinds of genres of stories and even music. I’m very well rounded because of it too.
Review: Loved it!!!!!! - This review is for Freed: Fifty Shades as told by Christian - ebook and audio book - though it encompasses the whole series. First the criticism: This series was about Pacific Northwest Americans living in PNW America. I am one of those and have been all my life. I found it disconcerting when I came across terms and phrases that seemed more British than American - envisaged (envisioned); fetch (get); darling is not a common endearment in my experience except in the British books I read; duvet (comforter); sidelight is a window next to a door in the USA (lamp or bedside light); radio alarm (clock radio or just clock or just alarm); keen (excited, a fan of, into); straightaway (asap, on it, right away, immediately); rumbled (busted); rucksack (backpack, gym bag, tote); perspex (plexiglass or plastic); spill the beans (spill); and on her/his/your/my own (alone). Customs: Plus a citizen of PNW USA knows that the last Monday in May and the first Monday in September are National holidays. They are major because they are the considered the book ends of Summer. Banks, schools and all Federal offices are closed in addition to most other businesses (except restaurants, department stores, grocery stores, hotels and the like.) Grey House and S.I.P. would be closed. Same day airline tickets would be scarce and expensive and TSA lines would be long on those days. In this country Daylight Savings Time begins at the end of March and ends in early November and is practiced in most of our states. The time span of the series is sandwiched in that time frame. Emails should read XDT not XST. I know, literary license. Christian being surprised and concerned about Ana driving in the rain was a bit ridiculous too. But all that being said, I have really enjoyed all six books (the movies not so much). This latest book was really the cherry on top. It filled in so many gaps. Christian's thoughts and feelings (which seemed pretty obvious in 50 Shades Freed) were such a surprise. I loved all the details about him that were explained. I loved the deepening aspects of his relationship with Ana (I'm a happy ending kind of gal). I loved watching Christian's bond with and love of his family emerge and strengthen. I loved the birth certificate and the photos of his foster family. I just found the whole book to be a warm, happy experience. Well, except for Elena. I loathe her. What a major bitch! I day dreamed about ways to hurt her. Thank you, Ms James for all your work. For me the wait was worth it. A note about the audio book. Zachary Webber was amazing in all 3. He did so many voices so well. He didn't read the books, he performed them and I think he should get an Oscar for them (I know that's silly). I didn't agree with his pronunciation of some of the words. That's just a matter of personal preference though. Only one word really stuck in my craw. I flinched every time (and there weren't many) he said "Willamette". I suspect I wasn't the only one though because I noticed he said it perfectly 3 times in Freed. Thank you for your voice Mr. Webber.

This series is every bit as good as the original. It answers some of the questions left open from the original books. It also shows some of Christians compassion and more love for Ana.
