Conservent bien la fraîcheur des légumes

Good for storing produce, essential for making tempeh at home
These are terrific bats with a matrix of tiny perforations that allow the bag to breathe. I am sure the bags work well for produce, but I use them exclusively for making my own tempeh. I use a 50-50 mix of cooked beans/lentils and cooked intact whole grains. The combination of these two, along with the tempeh fungus (Rhizopus oligosporus) that binds them together, serves as a meat substitute in chili, stir-fries, stews, and similar dishes. The bags allow the tempeh to breathe and hold the beans and grains together until the tempeh fungus makes it a solid slab. My latest batch was chickpea and rye; my favorite combination so far is black lentil and purple barley. The combination of black beans and black rice is also good. The bags are indispensable. Nothing else works so well. When the tempeh is done (after 3 days), I cut the bag off, so for making tempeh, each bag is used once. For storing vegetables, a bag can be used multiple times.

Very Useful!
These ziploc fresh produce bags are really handy. Produce is so expensive now and the longer it keeps fresh the better. I use them for mushrooms, cucumber, zucchini and lettuce, They are easy to fill and seal. They are a really good idea and great to use in my refrigerator.

Hard to find elsewhere
These can be impossible to find in local store, so I am glad that they are available here. They are thick and sturdy. You can wash and reuse them a great many times. They do a good job of keeping your fresh produce at the correct moisture level. The zipper closure always works well. They are the perfect size for a bunch of broccoli, or a few apples. A good way to store your fresh vegetables or fruits in the crisper drawer until you are ready to wash and eat them.
