I had a work from home station set up, where the cables multiplied quickly. I was researching for a reliable yet affordable docking station. After reading some reviews, I've decided to give this one a try.It arrived quickly. It was very easy to install, and given how small this product is, it could handle a lot of USB connections. When starting up, there is a slight delay (takes an extra 5 seconds) for the monitor to get in sync. Other than that, the processing speed, and the stability was great. It is also not bad looking either. Would recommend.

Great value idea for a home docking station with two HDMI monitors. Small size, fair price, works great. If I had any gripe it would be nice if this would actually charge your laptop, but it does not. You will need a charger plugged in to the wall to your laptop. Not a big deal, but should have realized that when I purchased so thought I would share.

The product works well on Windows and Mac so far, but there's a BIG problem: The system gets noticeably laggier with it plugged, no matter if it's only for connecting a single additional screen, it's clearly using additional system resources which harness any productivity task that requires heavy computational resources like design, 3D, sometimes software dev, etc.Make sure to know your needs very well before getting this.

Update on 9/10/2024: after I this review, the vendor reached out to me via Amazon to offer a full refund or a replacement. I wanted to give this device, which I really liked when it worked. another chance. It was shipped fast & I received the replacement in 3 days. Great. It worked great, except, 3 of the 5 UDB ports didn't work at all. I have replied to the oroiginal message explsining the issue. That was 3 days ago & no response.I was going to change my rating to 4-stars, but now I leave it as 1-star until this gets resolved. I am happy my HDMI port works & I have 2 working USB ports. But, this is not enough. I will update this review if & when I hear back from the vendor.----------------------------------------------------So disappointed. I ordered it on March 2, 2014. It worked great for the 1st 5 months. For the past month the devices connected to the hub have been disconnecting in the middle of use. This means, I lose access to my mouse, additional screen, headset, etc. Rebooting the laptop sometimes works, but not all the times. I have the latest drivers. Starting the labor day weekend, I have no connectivity at all. My laptop only has 1 USB-C & without a USB-C mouse, I am forced to use the trackpad, which I hate & I can't use my external monitor, which I really need for work.I have written to the manufacturer 3 times, but they have ignored me. I paid a lot of money for this unit so i will have a reliable device for work, when I could have paid 15 bucks for the same quality.I will not be purchasing this brand any more.

I've purchased 3 of these in the past 3 years since I have multiple "workstations" at different houses. Works well with my Dell XPS-13, but be sure to pay attention to the pictures and description to ensure it will fit your needs as it's "Triple Screen" modes will differ depending on your hardware (PC, MacBook, GPU settings, etc.). The most recent purchase I made had an issue where HDMI Port 2 stopped working. I confirmed this by swapping it out with another dongle (same product, just purchased at a different time). Seeing as how it was less than a year since purchasing, I reached out to customer support to see if they could help me...I honestly had low expectations and wasn't expecting a response since it's an overseas company (probably across the world in China) but they actually responded early the next morning! Customer support was helpful and had me follow some simple troubleshooting instructions to confirm the dongle was in-fact defective and so they sent me a brand new replacement which is working great. Very happy with this product and the customer support. I do agree with the other reviewers that after a full 8 hour work day, the dongle does feel warm to the touch but even my oldest dongle from 3 years ago is still working fine so I don't have an issue with it.

Had it since May 2022 and it has been working but it is a bit of a problem. Every so often (maybe once every 2weeks) it stops working and won’t activate any chargers/monitors connected to it and always at the worst times i.e during meetings.I’m at the point now that I am purchasing another docking station.

I got a new laptop but didn't realize the USB-C was not Thunderbolt. It was just a regular "data" USB-C. I wanted to run dual monitors (extended) but only had an HDMI (which only supports mirroring, not extended). I thought that I was out of luck until I found this adapter. I was skeptical because from what I'd read about USB-C ports, it has to be a certain type to support display.I took a chance, got this adapter overnight, and it works perfectly connected to my "regular" USB-C port! There is a download required, but you just unzip it and run the installer. Once it's installed and you've plugged into the USB, you use the regular Display settings on your computer (mine is a Windows PC) to set things up. There isn't a separate interface...just the driver.I installed the downloaded driver on both my personal laptop and my work laptop so now I can just connect the adapter to one or the other to run Dual Monitors. This solved my problem and hopefully, it will solve yours if you're trying to run dual monitors and don't have enough USB ports (or not the right type of USB-C port). It also works with USB A (regular USB), although I haven't tried it since I don't have a spare one available.
