A game changer
I installed this myself without issue. It's really pretty simple, so don't be intimidated because you don't even need any tools. This means a lot to me because I tried to install a different bidet years ago and ended up returning it in humiliation because I couldn't get it set up. The thought of that happening again made me shy about buying this bidet, but it took me ten minutes and worked on the first try. Honestly, I absolutely love having a bidet. Not that I'm experienced, but I really like this bidet in particular. It's like I'm opening a fire hydrant on my tushy. I did NOT want a gentle stream or a half-hearted little squirt because if I'm having a messy poop after some ill-advised hot wings, I want it blasted off so I can be squeaky clean. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just a little startling at first because it's winter now and the water in the pipes is cold. I pat dry with a little TP afterwards and there's no residue, so the bidet is doing the job. As a lady, I think it would be absolutely invaluable and refreshing when menstruating. I haven't been able to test that yet because my cycle has stopped for personal reasons, but still... Should it ever restart, having this bidet would make it feel SO much more hygienic! I find the aim is spot-on 95% of the time and if there's something a little off, I just wiggle myself and little and it will hit the area I want. I will never go without at home ever again!

TP or no TP the Boss Bidet is a must have for ultimate hygiene - and it pays for itself
I first got a bidet before I had shoulder surgery (for obvious reasons). I then purchased a BOSS Bidet because of it's self cleaning function and the fact that you get a 'front and back' option so regardless of how you're particular body is shaped it's thorough and gets everywhere you need it to go. The reason I'd buy another BOSS brand is number one the design is very descrete and doesn't have a "geriatric" look that my wife complained about - the control panel is solid metal and the dial is micro adjustable so you can dial in a firm blast and also a very gentle water flow. As for installation the setup was very easy and didn't even require a tool - just turn off the water flush the commode and unscrew the tank hose and attach it. (and removing the toliet seat and installing it was a bo brainer and I'm NOT handy when it comes to plumbing. Most of all our toilet paper costs have been cut more than 50%. Can't recommend this enough. While the water is chilly which is just because there is no warm water feed to the toilet - I find it refreshing, and it's so much more effective than dry toilet paper and while I still wash my hands - you will never come into contact with waste - which makes your entire bathroom cleaner and more sanitary. And I'll say again it's low profile and attractive dial panel is the best on the market for the price. Enthusiastic five stars. It is a little more expensive than some other bolt on bidets on the market but the build quality and design is worth it - I don't anticipate EVER having to replace it.

Not easy to install, but does the job really well.
I'm going to admit, right off the bat, that this is the first time I've used a bidet. "Why did you buy it," you might ask. Good question. Well, now that I decided to try it, I'll go into my first impressions and update this later. First, installation. The directions are horrible and small. You're supposed to go to their website for help, but you should be able to install something from the good pictures and clear directions, neither of which are found on the installation guide. Second, I really had to wrestle with the connector and the white hose. Would it kill you guys to put these pieces together for people who aren't gifted with tools? Just a suggestion. Second, you have to install the adapter to the bottom of the toilet tank BEFORE you attach the hose because the top of it doesn't turn like it should (saves them money, reduces leaks. Yeah, yeah). Third, when you finally get a pretty dirty job done, you do need to test it with a naked bottom on the seat (as several people have pointed out). It works okay, but I was kind of hoping for a gentle squirt rather than a forceful jet in your bum. There's no real way to adjust this (that I can discern) and turning it on just a little doesn't work because the nozzle only pops out when the pressure is high enough and then, "hey! Ouch" I guess I'll have to play with it a bit. The system for aligning the seat bolts is pretty smart, so I'll give them that much. It has a nozzle cleaning feature and a front/back setting that doesn't change the direction as far as I can feel it. Do I recommend this? Maybe, if you are pretty handy with tools, don't mind wrestling with parts, and can handle a strong jet hitting your butt. Overall, a pretty good product otherwise. Update: I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars because, yeah it was challenging to install but in "hindsight" if I had watched the installation video as recommended, it might have been easier. The main reason for the change: it really works well. The issue of the aggressive stream has been fixed by quickly turning down the pressure after the jets start. I really like feeling clean after going. I definitely recommend this item now.

My first experience with a bidet
I've owned this product for 1 month now. I also bought a different brand type for a second toilet so I can compare the two. this bidet works well. It has the dual sprayer function but I think a single sprayer would have been just as good. It is convenient to use in that the large dial works the sprayers and the smaller dial works the cleaning function. Much easier to use than the other bidet I have which is a bit more confusing. The line pressure in my application is 55PSI. And the force of the bidet stream is a bit to high. I added a T valve at the toilet supply to damp down the pressure some. It helps some. I found that if you start off by turning the dial enough to extract the sprayer then dial it back to just before the sprayer retracts, the force of the water is gentler. I like the wider spray pattern this one provides but it does mean you have to do more work to dry your self. Still saves toilet paper though. The only area of concern for me was the hookup line. It is plastic and I am concerned about springing a leak. I bought a braided stainless line to replace the plastic line. My insurance company prefers use of metal hookup lines for all fixtures. Installation was easy. But my plumbing to the toilet is newer so no problems with leaky shutoff valves or fittings. This is not the products fault and would apply no matter which brand is installed. In my experience if your toilet plumbing hasn't been touched in over 5 years be prepared for some issues. As for the cold water, this was not a problem as it is not like jumping in a cold shower at all. Overall I think this is a good product and could be improved by including a metal braided hookup line instead of plastic. The force of the stream is an issue with my other bidet so I am assuming this is true for many of these add on bidets.

Smart Design, Great Value
I'm so glad I bought this bidet over other ones available. When comparing the Boss to others, it becomes obvious real quick that this one is very cleverly designed. If you are shopping for one of these, take a good hard look at the Boss Bidet. Take note of the water delivery system. This model is designed where the water nozzle is only exposed with some water pressure behind it. I mention this only because inferior models from other companies didn't think this through. Without getting too graphic, I'll just say this comes down to a cleanliness issue. This is all a very personal event here, so the last thing you'd want is something spraying off your starfish with dirty water and/or particles. With the Boss Bidet, it simply can't happen. Something else worth mentioning in regards to myself personally is that I'm not a small person. I'm 6'6" and 420 lbs. The controls on the side do not interfere with me being able to park on the toilet. Other models have their control panel mounted too close to the bowl or above the horizontal plane of the toilet seat. If you are a small person, none of this would likely be an issue, but for metabolically challenged folks like myself, it's worth considering. Installation was a breeze. The information provided with the unit was more than adequate. On top of that, there is a rather impressive video on YouTube that shows you how to install the unit. However, I personally thought it would easier to connect the adaptor to the water tank before I installed the unit under my toilet seat. This may have been because my tub is a little closer to the toilet on that side AND I'm not extremely agile. Either way, after looking over the instructions provided and watching the video, I had the confidence I needed to complete this task. As you might imagine, at first I was slightly startled at the bidet's action of cleaning me. It does a phenomenal job though! Even my wife, who was very very skeptical, has come to really like what this unit does. We can already tell that we are using less paper, as you typically just use paper to dry yourself after using the unit. With the Front and Rear knob, no one is left out. The Boss Bidet has been the most interesting conversation piece I've ever purchased. I believe that because of mine in my home, I have indirectly sold 3 units. As environmentally friendly as it is, I'm surprised it hasn't become a mainstay in homes worldwide. Hopefully it will, as now when I'm out and about I'm not thrilled about using bathrooms sans bidet. I will not be surprised if my wife insists that we install more of these units in bathrooms in our home.

Holy Sh*t !!!! It solved all my problems!
We love it. After using a very expensive model with heat and other features while traveling for business, I was worried about buying something minimal, but wow. Not only does the variable pressure work well, it allows enough pressure to really get up in and around the whole area, and clear the tough to wipe bits in the folds. Now that I've been using it for almost every pit stop, my rear has healed and the hemms have seemed to resolved themselves and shrunk. Normal wiping when away from home is even better and without incident. What a life change from fearing a trip to the can and having to tear wipes into multiple strips and use many of those wipes to dig around and get all the bits. I really enjoy my morning sessions on the thinker now and I was worried that pain and bleeding would be a part of the rest of my life. No more!!! Why the hell do Americans not have these and use them regularly??? I've even cut toilet paper use to about 1/30th of before!!! Amazing and simple to install. I also added some stainless washers under the seat mounts to stabilize and snug up the seat as the seat type is not optimum for the device. Also added some bumpers under the seat to make up the added space and sit properly. I love my throne!!!!!!! Here is to clean healthy butth*les!!!!!!!!

Nice product. I just need to replace commode lid for it to work correctly.

Had it a month. It works (for now), but isn't pleasant.
Bidet looks decent and not an eyesore. I initially received a defective hose and wrote the company, and the promptly sent me a new hose, so I do appreciate that and want to thank them for that. However, as I have now had it nearly a month I would like to give an update: 1) It raises the rear of the toilet seat, so it leaves a gap at the front; may require spacers to level. I had to purchase some. 2) In the past month since I've had it I have noticed that when I shut the valve off it doesn't always stop leaking water into the toilet 100%. This is frustrating and may amount to a lot of wasted water. I've seen a few others post online about this as well. The bidet seems like lightweight plastic construction, which may represent the quality of the values internally (especially when paying over $100). My fear is the long-term durability. Time will tell but as of now I am not sure I would purchase this again. 3) There is no difference, at least on my unit, between female (front) and back jets, except the front jet is SLIGHTLY gentler, every so slightly wider of a spray. The back has a focus the size of a pencil dot so it hits a lot harder... more like a sharp stab. 4) The jets go from 0 to 50% power instantly without warning; it is so uncomfortable that my wife refuses to use the bidet after only the first week and we are not going to even bother showing the kids how to use it or install one on our other toilets. I can barely tolerate it, but I continue to do so because I want to waste less toilet paper. Truth be told, I am now using the female (front) jet 80% of the time; it hits in the same area and the jet pattern is slightly wider, so slightly less painful. And now the kicker; I had a hemorrhoid that was in retreat and hadn't bothered me since January; it is now back and I really think it has to do with how powerful and sharp the sprayer is, and the fact that there is no gradual increase from zero to sharp. Does it work? Yes. Will it save me toilet paper? Yes. Do I think it will last a while? I'm not betting on it due to the lightweight plastic construction and value. Would I buy this type again? Not likely.
