Laurence King Around the World in 80 Plants

Aside from the excellent content, the book itself is nicely presented. Anyone halfway interested in plants will find this book to be an interesting read.

What a lovely book! Gorgeous illustrations. Witty and educational dialogue. It’s obviously not a gripping page-turner type of book, but what a great addition to a home for casual, relaxing reading.

Apart from Introduction, the whole of the book uses a small font size that may be difficult to read. The plants described are obviously from all around the world as the title says. They include trees like Mango also and not just small plants/bushes. More like a basic book to introduce city folk to some common flora. Beautiful to look at and pick up from time to time, but not anything with lots of substance.

Find the layout and presentation not up to modern standards

This book is for anyone who loves 'stories' about plants rater than botanical studies of plants. Some of the unusual and strange facts will be completely new and fascinating to even very expert plants people. The illustrations are gorgeous portraits of plants in their native environment.
