Direct replacement
Easy change out for a broken sprinkler of another manufacturer. This one does the job and a bit cheaper.

Easy way to replace sprinkler heads.
All of my pop up irrigation heads are Orbit. If one fails, i don't have to dig it out. I simply unscrew the valve mechanism from the new unit and replace it into the inground unit. That's important because these units only last 2 to 3 years.

Hardest part
Hardest part was to get the old leaking short sprinkler head out of the ground. The new one went in perfectly and adjusted exactly as needed.

Orbit warranty sucks
I have a Saturn III unit that the spray does not respond to adjustments. It just stays in the old position. It has been in use for two seasons. I called Orbit customer care. The rep that answers the phone asked me whether I had checked for debris and which I did. Finally, she wants me to put this defective sprinkler back and do a video conference with her so she can trouble shoot it. I explain to her that I would rather not do it because I have to dig the working sprinkler up in order to put the defective one back in. More importantly is this sprinkler is underneath and in front of some shrubs. I have to stand in front of a spraying sprinkler with a camera. I asked whether she can give me an RMA so I can send it back to them. She said this is not the "company policy". This company policy just drove away 1 customer -- that is me. Also, who knows what she would say even if I can do the video conference to show her how the defective sprinkler is indeed bad. It is possible that she wants the receipt which U did not keep or the product registration which I did not do. All in all, the warranty is virtually not exists.

Very easy to install
Built a new deck that extended into the range of the older sprinkler so needed to shorten the spray size. Very easy install, unscrewed the old unit and screwed the new one on - presto !
