Review: How to effectively use - Here’s a few clues to get the most out of these great redaction markers: 1) Read the directions on the pen! Be sure the ink is well shaken and the tip is well saturated before beginning use. 2) Do NOT press down hard when trying to redact!!! 3) Give the pen a little shake and press down on the tip for just a second between uses to insure fresh ink flow. 4) Let the ink do the work. A very light touch will provide sufficient ink to cover MOST writing. 5) Let the ink dry - gently blowing on the paper will hasten the process. 6) For the 3-5% of the time one coat doesn’t sufficiently cover, lightly redcoat and blow dry. I have redacted HUNDREDS of credit card numbers, CCV codes, and expiration dates in our ticket office with a single marker which has not yet run dry! The pens have far exceeded my expectations. I suspect people having problems have not followed the above tips. I learned through experience - you don’t have to learn the hard way!!! Do not let the tip run dry - you will destroy the felt tip! Just press down on the tip to get the ink flowing.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work on checks for the account number and routing number?**
A: In theory it's supposed to but it won't cover the information completely.  If you angle the check, you'll be able to read the numbers.  I have to cross the Information with a pen first then use the marker.

**Q: will this cover written material in blue or black ink? so that it can not be read?**
A: Application of a special ink in these pens that can cover hard to hide colored text. Allows you to conceal areas.

**Q: Does this leak through paper like a permanent marker does?**
A: I've had some situations where I had to go over the same area 2-3 times to get the coverage and redaction I desired.  While a permanent marker would have probably resulted in the paper being torn through from over-saturation of ink, it did not bleed through to the back side with this pen.

**Q: How many markers does it come with ? The title says 12 pack yet the product information says 5 markers.**
A: I saw that 12 pack too; But you only get five pens
