Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set, 20 Colors, 5ml (0.17-oz) Tubes

I bought the set of 20 .17oz tubes and am really very happy with these paints. The paint is rich with a very good consistency, the colors are vibrant with great coverage, and there's such a good selection of colors you hardly have to do any mixing. I'm a beginner and didn't understand or appreciate the difference a really good set of paints could make. These paints just may result in me stepping up my watercolor game.

These colors are vibrant!

I have been learning the art of watercolor and wanted to try out tube paint. This set is amazing. Vivid colors, mixes well and is fun to use. Winsor & Newton has quickly become my favorite. I have purchased pan sets from this brand as well and feel the quality of their products is fantastic.

Recommended by an Artist. It blended smooth and nicely.

My only complaint is that when opening the tubes, some of them almost explode out upon opening making a mess or wasting product. As well as a few tubes were not as full as they should be. Otherwise, great colors, easy to work with. I filled half pans with these to dry down and they dry very quickly compared to some I’ve used. Definitely worth the deal if you like this brand!

The pigments are very strong and paints work very well. Just wish they had area for mixing colors, if wanted. I do use the folding covers to mix them, but that doesn’t work too well. I use them actually to paint on tumblers, so it’s nice they are very versatile for different purposes. Also have been using them in my mixed media book. So I know they work on different surfaces. They are very smooth and the colors are vibrant. You can make them range from deep to transparent, with options on what surface you’re painting the dry time varies. Let them dry enough and you can go in and do any details without disrupting the initial color. It only took overnight to put them in and let them harden for use. Overall I really like them and I’m looking forward to purchasing a bigger set!

I’m new to watercolor but I liked the range of colors including the white to help me mix skintones. I do not know if I could make them more vibrant or darker though. Attached is mostly the watercolor, but a marker for the background and outlines, and iridescent pink paint for highlights. I’m not sure what better quality paint is like or if it’s different but the color selection is great here with the addition of black and white. Because of this I’d say it’s great for beginners and moderate at least. I used quality paper though, 300 gsm cotton. The other paper seemed blotchy but think that’s the paper not the paint.

I bought this 20-tube Cotman set to fill my travel palettes. The paints are smooth, have good transparency, and dry well in pans. The color selection is practical and versatile. Excellent value for money from Winsor & Newton

Winsor et Newton, peintures avec des pigments de très bonne qualité et sans danger pour la santé !!!! Concernant mon coffret les tubes sont bien remplis sauf un l'alizarine cramoisie, les couleurs sont fidèles à l'article . Je recommande vivement !
