This mix is 2mm pellets for my smaller guys and 3mm for my bigger guys and not a single pellet is left after each feeding! The food has never fouled my water or gave it an odor! I also never experienced any sort of yellowing and noticed less gunk on my Canister filter with this food. There is a clay in the food to help with digestion and produce less waste and It seems to be working cause I do notice less waste on Northfin compared to other brands I’ve tested! PLEASE NOTE: There are people who say their fish spit this out and that the pellet is hard. It is harder than other brands, but you can train your fish to get used to it. I’ve done this successfully with Geophagus, Severums, Uaru, True Parrots, Electric Blue Acaras, and even my Blue Eyed Lemon Pleco. I usually don’t feed my fish for a day out of the week so this makes them eager for food. Fish and animals adapt quickly so feed the new pellet after the day off and continue feeding once or twice a day as usual. Within a week or two, you will notice they go for the pellets and will be hooked.
