How long does the bad smell last? I am considering using this for indoor potted trees. Will it stink up my house for long?

All of the nutrients stink but once you mix them in water the smell isn’t bad. I’ve had an indoor grow for 3 years and we use all 13 flavors of Fox Farm. Great stuff! You can also print a feeding schedule from there site

Is this water soluble?

Yes. Depending on your setup you mix it in a gallon of water or your reservoir for hydro. You can get a feeding schedule from Google. Just query fox farm feeding scuedule

Can this be used to plant germinated seeds?

I wouldn’t worry about any sort of nutrient in the first few weeks typically, potting mix is usually sufficient for a couple weeks from seed regardless of plant type.

Why does the lid have a little round hole in it?

I don't think mine had a hole in the lid.

Wow this stuff is amazing

This stuff is amazing and I have another three Bottle kit and following instructions but the very first dose that I put on my jalapeno pepper plants it was like night and day you could see a visible difference in height and growth the very next morning

Plants love it. Me, not so much

My plants love it but let me tell you...it smells horrible! I gag everytime I add it to the water. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there was a hole punched threw the lid. So I have to wrap the bottle opening in plastic wrap so the smell doesn't stink up the whole house when not using it.
