This is perfect for descaling kettles. Just add a spoonful and boil and your kettle will sparkle like new. This is the product that some companies sell in tiny packages for lots of money, so don't do that instead buy a large container that will last a couple of years. A bargain.

Great stuff use it regularly as on a septic tank so cleaning with chemicals is outworks well on descaling and cleaning around the house even use it to unblock pipes

We live in a very hard water area, and to work efficiently, and without leaving a sandy, gritty residue in your cuppa, the kettle needs regular de- scaling. Because Citric Acid is a food-safe product, it is ideal for de-scaling your kettle, but you still need to rinse, fill with fresh water, and boil (repeat this twice for safety), after treatment. We used to buy small packets of kettle de-scaler at the supermarket - it was very expensive, and needed 2 or 3 goes to do a halfway proper job. This large pack is ideal for the job, and I thoroughly recommend it as an inexpensive and effective way to keep your kettle shiny on the inside, and working much more effectively, for longer - and no more sandy grit and sludge in the bottom of your cuppa!

Bought this as a natural alternative to chemical descales for the kettle and coffee machine. Works really well for this purpose, just be sure to rinse out well before making coffee again.

I use about a cup of this sprinkled directly into the drum on the drum clean cycle of my washing machine, and it works much better than any washing machine cleaner product. It is also great for descaling kettles.
