That one lasted 6 years before it finally stopped working. So if you want a great kettle that's a good size and aesthetically pleasing, and comes in beautiful colors, I highly recommend this one! -------------- I had this same kettle for 6 years and it worked great, so recently when it finally died, I decided to purchase the same kettle again. The first one arrived in box that had seen better days and it was obvious that it had been opened and used by someone. So I returned it to desertcart. I still liked the kettle so much (the original one that I had for 6 years) that I decided to give it another try and purchased the same kettle again. This one looked great, nice and shiny and brand new, but the lid at the top of the kettle did not work well, so I returned that one. Once again I decided to purchase the same kettle again (third time's a charm right?) and it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I'm giving it 3 stars because of all the issues I had but I will try once more because the first kettle was just so wonderful! If it works out well this time, I will update my review. I hope this kettle will be the one I've been waiting for and I hope it lasts at least as long as my first one did!
