Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI - PlayStation 2

One of the better titles for playing as a warlord. Not gutted but wow would a kit help - yet we are all simpletons I suppose to Koei/Jokemo. This was probably their last solid title in the series.Anything past this? Seemed like they got bored with the story. 8 is best btw if you like the RP single officer stuff. This is always as a force for anyone wondering.Great game overall with probably the best map they've designed. Shame the series might as well be a streamlined tablet game now.Enjoy the olden' days!

This was my first time playing the Romance series, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Its actually become one of my favorite games. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys the more complicated, less twitch based side of gaming (the Civilization series among others). This game has phenomenal depth, and gives you something different to do every time you play. I've been playing for roughly 30 hours, and feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what it has to offer. The only complaints i could imagine for this game would be the graphics, which are slightly below average, but have there own very nice, very distinct style.

I was a huge fan of this series when it forst began all throw the super nes versions.I finally came back to the series with this installment and as i played i was having so much fun i ended up calling a friend telling them how cool it was.Then the first battle begun.I had several more troops (completely trained up) and several genrals with much better skilsl than the forces that was being thrown at me.yet in no time at all i found myself overwelmed by several generals whose war stats barely hit 60.one after another my forces were getting beaten bacjk and quickly they made their way to my outpost taking it in no time.meanwhile a second army from another lord had begun its march for my capitol.needless to say i was unable to draw my forces back and protect myself (even though once again all the troop levels, war stats and training were in my favor) and quickly my once great city was overrun.I don't know if there was something i did wrong or just the way the game is set up to allow for war to rage across the map all at once but i was no match for 2 small armys with a few generals who barely knew how to draw a sword.

This is the best version of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms franchise to date. If there was a PS3 version, I would've tried that one instead. The gameplay is good, but I think that it's probably about time for a revamp of the nation-building strategy and the combat. The addition of the scenarios is a nice twist.

its a good game its take a lot of time to play and beat but is worth it if you like those type of games I really like the old one better tho

My better half plays this game almost everyday. The ROTK series are his favorite.The game itself is so detailed. With character creation, strategy, statistics, and historical data.If only there was such a thing as a PhD in Video Gaming...My guy would be that!!

Very addictive. Hard for me to quit playing. My son & I use to play this game on Nintendo back in the day. I was very happy we were able to find it again. Lots of action and it is hard to put down. We like to play as teams.

Arrived as expected, satisfied.
