Excellent product that attenuates (lowers and reduces) the strong line-level signal by -35 db, to a lower, safer, mic-level signal. BTW: negative reviewer who stated they bought 3, was INCORRECTLY using this cable to reduce their mic-level signal to a completely unusable level. That was completely backwards. This cable reduces line-level signals to a mic-level signals.

This item arrived quickly, is built very well, installed simply and works flawlessly doing everything exactly as it stated it would and did so at a great price point. Highly recommended.

Lifesaver. I just got it today and it works perfectly. Such an easy and convenient solution. I’m not sure yet how long it will last but will update if I have issues with it. That being said though, at this price I went ahead and bought a spare, just because I don’t honestly except it to last forever. Does come with a 2 year warranty though…

I have had this attenuator cable for 9 months and use it frequently. I wrote this review on the spur-of-the-moment, because I have used it many times over the last few days to record music on my Tascam recorder directly from my laptop headphone jack and wanted to share my thoughts. It is terrific. The 35 dB attenuation balances the output with the mic input to provide easy recording with no distortion. It's simple and effective. If you record any audio from devices such as TV, stereo, etc. and have to fiddle around to balance the output with the input, this cable will make your life a lot easier. Simply plug and play at normal volume and mic gain settings.

Use this 1 time a week for a year. It works fine.

This works great, as I can now set my audio levels on my camera at a decent level without introducing noise into the camera's audio recording, and also have a backup recorder from my Zoom H4N Pro or Zoom H6 in a WAV! I was using 3.5mm speaker cables before this and not only where they long and cumbersome, but I would have to set my audio levels in camera at 1 just to barely avoid peaking, and then turn the volume out down on the recorder/mic source. I then used an XLR LINE-TO-MIC attenuater capsule but that involved adapting this 3.5mm cables to XLR and was too much of a fuss. This cable from Movo not only works great, but it's the perfect size for my rigs. I will probably buy another at some point as I outfit other cameras. I like that if I split the LINE-OUT of a unit like the Zoom H4N Pro, I can use this cable to send a good audio level to my camera - thus reducing my work in post - as well as monitor the audio if I'm using a camera like the Sony a6300 that doesn't have a headphone jack.

Gear: Sony ZV-1 - Mic: Rode Videomicro Compact I've ordered one cable (at first) to replace the Rode cable since it's not shielded enough, causing a bit of static noise. The Movo MV-RC100 had the "Microphone Attenuator Cable" in the name, and it came recommended by YouTubers for the Sony ZV-1. It didn't work 🤣 - I had to increase the "audio rec level" to the max, to barely hear my voice, and ofc the static noise got A LOT STRONGER & LOUDER. (vs the Rode original cable, audio rec level at 11 with great voice & can barely hear the static noise). So I've returned it and ordered another 2 cables, hoping that one of them would work. Same story. I've tried them on my friend's DSLR; didn't work too. Maybe it's my bad luck - but that's my experience. Good luck to you all & I hope you'll find your cable. Happy recording.

I saw a video on YouTube that recommended this product. I needed to connect my Rode Wireless GO II transmitter to DJ mixer or audio console. Line signal is too much for Rode and I needed this attenuator so I don't fry the transmitter. It's -35 db so it's pretty substantial. After using on event I can safely say that it does it's job. I don't notice any hiss or loss of quality. Very useful tool and I'm pretty happy with results.
