Hoover Commercial TaskVac Vacuum Cleaner, Bagless Upright Vac for Carpet

Bought in August and it stopped working in December no longer sucks cleaned it all out replaced filters still didn’t work. Took to a repair guy and he said it was junk. $200 vacuum lasted 5 months.

One of the better commercial vacs for 30 ft.cord and powerful motor wears like iron clean it religiously and it will last.especially the filter.

Biggest piece of junk vacuum I've ever owned. I took a long time to settle on a review because I thought maybe I was just not getting the height setting correct. Or maybe I wasn't emptying the container often enough. Or maybe I needed to pick up larger bits of stuff off of the floor first. Well... I was wrong. This thing is worse than small pox. You'd be better off with an old manual carpet sweeper. I've finally figured out what's wrong with this vacuum: it's literally DESIGNED TO FAIL. Immediately after the bottom intake hole there's a choke-point where the round suction hole turns into a significantly smaller double elbow (an S curve if you may). This serves as a clogging point designed to make your vacuum work harder, over heat, and eventually burn up early into its lifespan, requiring you to purchase a new one. And with only a few name-brands for vacuums, they see it as worth the chance that you buy Hoover again. I bought this because it was simple. High power, no gimmicks, no dumb "shark fins" and other faux technology. I just wanted something to reliably pick up pet hair. This thing isn't it. It literally clogs on dust and pet hair constantly without running over any pre-clumped material. And I'm not talking about long haired dogs. I have to give this thing a coathanger abortion every 3 minutes to clean it out. And this is after another recent vacuuming. If somebody tries to give you one of these, deny it and defriend them. That's not a friend, that's a mortal enemy. If it's a parent, then it looks like you're an orphan now. If somehow you come into possession of one of these, light it on fire. DO NOT SELL IT OR GIVE IT AWAY! Wars are fought for less. Do you really want to be the real like Lex Luther?! Seriously, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this vacuum if you value your sanity. But if you're looking for something to get you riled up before a 400lb deadlight, or maybe a cage fight, then this should do the trick. Be ready to go Super Saiyan God and split planets in a heartbeat. Seeking Ultra Instinct? Try vacuuming pet hair with it. You'll start glowing and sprout grey-silver hair with an aura that burns everything around you. It should be illegal to produce a vacuum this infuriating. The US Government should sign a peace treaty with Hoover to stop them from producing WoMD.... Please, world leader Trump, save us from this apocalyptic creation....

It has decent suction, rolls nicely, and usnt as loud as our old hoover. But I can tell it won't last as long as we assumed a commercial vacuum should. The plastic seems cheaper. It rolls nice so if you dont gave to lift it you should mind the weight but it's heavy if you have to lift it. The hose is too short.

Purchased this to use in our retail store with bare cement floors. Customers come in with muddy work boots and once the mud dries, it picks up the dirt easily. My only complaint is the hose. Probably because the unit is new but the hose is a struggle to use because it's so short. Hopefully the more it get's used it will stretch out some. Other than that, it's worked fine for us the past few months. No other complaints.

The best vacuum we have ever owned. We bought it in 2014. No frills. Simple. Easy maintenance. Picks up a lot of dirt. It is the only certified bagless vacuum. I think many of the negative reviews are operator error. This vacuum is a bagless vacuum with a washable primary filter AND a disposable HEPA filter, located under the dirt chamber. The HEPA filter must be changed periodically or the vacuum will stop working. The HEPA filter has a hard plastic shell and pulls out like a drawer. It fits tightly and can easily be overlooked. Our HEPA filters last around one year. When we first bought this vacuum, we had to empty it a lot and change the HEPA filter frequently because it was picking up a TON of dirt our old vacuum left behind. I mean, we could only vacuum one room and the dirt chamber was full. This is a sign of a GREAT vacuum. Now we don't have to empty it as much because it has picked up most of the dirt. If the belt wears out or breaks it can easily be changed without the use of any tools. There is a belt window for easy inspection. It's a great vacuum.

We purchased this commercial vacuum for use in a veterinary hospital where it gets used every day and we go through vacuums about every 1-2 years. I added on the Assurant business policy through Amazon so that it had 3 years coverage instead of the 1 year offered through Hoover. The vacuum was purchased at the end of April and the grounding prong had fallen out by late October. We contacted Hoover for warranty and were directed to a local repair shop. After a few weeks, they told us Hoover planned to replace the unit, but there was a backorder so it would be delayed. The repair shop replaced the end of the cord for $20 so we had a vacuum in the interim. It took almost 4 months to receive the replacement, which we did not open immediately because the other unit was working. In March (less than a year after purchase), the fixed unit suddenly stopped turning on so we opened the box of the new unit to discover it was a bagged model of the commercial vacuum. We ordered bags because it was such a hassle to get this replacement already. By September, this second replacement vacuum had stopped turning on also, but is not outside of the Hoover warranty. Fortunately, I had purchased the additional 3 year warranty through Amazon and after hearing the struggles with this junk vacuum(s), they refunded the original purchase price of the vacuum. We have replaced these with a Bissel and hope to have better luck and are able to use our new vacuum for more than 6 months at a time without having to have something repaired or replaced!

We use it in our 5000 sq ft gym. It’s world better than few other popular brands products we used in the past. It can suck way more stuffs with fewer swipes. Very easy to use and doesn’t require much maintenance. Noice level is acceptable too, we use it when members are working out without any annoyance. I am usually too lazy to write review but I can’t believe this beast of a machine has such a low rating, very misleading!

Heavy duty, worked well in a 1000 sq ft area.

Purchased for cleaning a commercial gym (roughly 40 minutes of use per night). Worked perfectly the first night. After 3 weeks, dirt would fall out of the bottom when using the hose attachment and it slowly started to lose power. After 40 days of use it died 15 minutes into cleanup. Lasted fewer than 40 working hours and 6 months fewer than a cheaper home vacuum that I used until the motor stopped completely when first opening the gym.
