Hanging Hummingbird Feeder with a Protein Benefit | Wild Fun Way to Feed Hummingbirds Nectar Along with The Protein They Need

Good in theory and it does what it says as far as attracting fruit flies. I watched time and time again as the hummingbirds came to the feeder past the fruit flies and got the sugar water. After the bananas were good and ripe there are wasps and bees all over the place making it hard for the hummingbirds to navigate. Once I rinsed all the bananas out and just put the sugar water in the feeder it was great. It's just a colossal mess to deal with once you put bananas in the thing.... fruit flies are all over the place true but there's also fly maggots wasps Etc... every time I attempt to the sugar water there was probably eight to ten houseflies drowned in the sugar water... disgusting....

Not one hummer would either drink or try to eat any bugs from it, they see the clear plastic and see food and try to get at both liquid food as well as the fruit flies from the clear plastic. They would rather go to our other nectar feeders. I wouldn't recommend to buy this.Sorry this is our experience

Too easy for raccoons to get into even with bungee cord to keep it closed. See the neatly placed banana skins on the deck railing.
