I currently live in Missouri, but am originally from NJ/Philadelphia. I usually buy some when I go back to visit. I was not able to visit this year. I decided to take a chance and order this from Frank and Sal Italian Market. My grandfather owned a small grocery store in Camden, NJ. This cheese tastes exactly like the cheese from my grandfather’s store. It tastes wonderful! Brings back childhood memories. Just the smell is amazing! I lived most of my life in a small Italian village in Illinois; now I live in a very rural area where there is no Italian bread(or bakeries), cheese, escarole, rapini, knob onions, cannoli etc. I have ordered this aged provolone several times now. Very sharp aged flavor, and nutty. Frank and Sals has been my go to for Pecorino Romano, aged Provolone, salame. For me it’s not about the $$ (if you live in a city with Italian Market go there. Wide variety) the products are shipped with dry ice in a quilted freezer pouch, inside a styrofoam box. It takes about a week. Trustworthy and good product for sure. I recommend highly

This cheese block arrived today from Frank and Sal Italian Market. I was concerned when I purchased it that it might be overheated during transport across the country. However, I can report that it arrived cool and in perfect condition. They packed it in an insulated box with cold packs. So thanks to them for caring about their product.

I am first generation american. My family comes form the city of Pompeii. I grew up in a small town near Chicago and my father would go to little Italy and buy this cheese. He was born in Italy so would not buy anything but the best. So i grew up eating this cheese and I am now 72 now and I still want only the best! That's why I buy this cheese for myself, so far I have eaten 1 pound of this wonderful cheese and I will Keep eating it as long as I can get it from this company. It is the best and it will arrive fresh! I have another pound on it's way that will arrive in the next few days and i have another pound in my Amazon cart that I will order probably in the next couple of weeks.
