This is a great little globe. I may venture out to buy the bigger sizes. The one I bought was slightly smaller than a bowling ball. They’re really nice. We have it in our stairwell to give some light midway up. We can turn it on at the bottom of the stairs and it gives a nice glow. You can pick ever changing colors or pick one color. I have them on carpeted stairs, so there is an issue that the plug-in area is on the bottom of the globe, so on a smooth hard surface that’s not gonna work as effectively as having the globe basically nestled into my carpet. It also has to be charged. It is not battery operated. Luckily, I’ve got mine plugged into an extension cord that goes to the top of the stairwell connected into what used to be our Christmas lights, so whenever those lights are on upstairs it’s charging the globe while they’re lighting the landing. Due to that, I don’t know how long a charge last. I really like it. I’ll probably buy a couple more. It’s very pretty.

UPDATE - 5 star customer service! I want to revise my previous review for anyone researching Mr. GO LED globes. Mr. GO promptly responded directly to me letting me know that they stand behind the quality of their products by replacing my 8 inch LED globe without any hassle on my part. I received a brand new 8 inch globe within a few days. I was also provided additional tips for use & storage to help prolong the life of the globes. It's important for customers to know that Mr.GO 100% stands behind their products & they genuinely care about their customers! Shout out to Amanda, Customer Support & Bruce, Sales Manager, who both went above & beyond to show the commitment of Mr.GO to their customers & their products! Purchased 5/2022 and as of July 4, 2025, it is dead! I only use these in these in the summer months (June, July, August) & maybe twice a month. That equates to about 18 uses! Not very good for the price! They are very pretty, so I give it 2 stars.

This is a pretty amazing little light--I bought it to use in our newborn baby's room for night feedings and changes so I didn't have to turn on a brighter light. I love that it has a remote control, which allows quick access to all colors, dimmer, and all other controls. It's plenty bright for changing a diaper and basic needs. My only complaint is that it definitely does not hold a charge for as long as I had hoped, but I just plug it in every day and it lasts long enough for the time I need it each night. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a hassle.

The light was exactly what I was looking for. Its globe shape with a frosted texture helps diffuse the brightness, making the space feel super cozy. I usually keep it set to the orange color, but I occasionally switch to the smooth mode, which transitions seamlessly between colors. This feature creates a calming vibe or even a fun, party-like atmosphere when needed. That said, the remote is a major downside. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s poorly designed. Because of this, I couldn’t install the light in the lofted area of my house, as the remote couldn’t reach far enough to turn the light on or off. A better remote would make this product perfect. Still, I primarily bought this for the light itself, and in that regard, it exceeded my expectations. It’s everything I hoped for. I’ll definitely be buying larger versions for another space I’m planning in the future. Thanks!

This is a very unreliable product, don't waste your money buying because you may be lucky to use it once. I bought a 16", a 12" and a 10" LED ball lights three years ago and I used them only once. The second time I tried using them a few days ago, the 12" doesn't work. The other two had 1hr usage even after I charged them for hours. I charged it for hours but it seems that the rechargeable battery is dead already. But the worst thing is that there is absolutely no customer support! They are happy to sell me another LED module for $39.99 that may or may not work once. I regret spending $300 for such unreliable products. Don't waste your money!

It is very cool but has a disappointing battery life

I took chance despite the bad reviews. I've had it on for 2 nights and I LOVE it. I keep it plugged in all the time. I wanted a warm amber glow in my bedroom I could read before bed in, and for it to be gentle enough I could fall asleep with it on. It is perfect for that. The orange color is a warm orange pink glow. Very , very cozy. Just bright enough to be able to see around the room, but dim enough to fall asleep reading to without having to turn it off. I have night terrors and often have to turn a light on at night if the night mares are bad enough. This glow ball is just bright enough to not need a light if I wake screaming at 3am which I often do. I'm loving it so far .

The light wasn't turning on, the remote "on" button caved in the first time I used it. Plus I can't return it because it's been longer than 30 days even though I just now opened the box. Edit: When I left this review I was upset this pretty extensive light did not turn on right out of the box. Within the week the company reached out to me sympathized with my problem and immediately sent me a brand new one. It is the perfect addition to my new room!!
