RSVP International Endurance Kitchen Collection Colander Strainer, Berry, Pierced Stainless Steel

Arrived within a week from the States. My Mum really likes it!

Kleines Sieb zum Obstwaschen. Hab ein Plastiksieb bisher benutzt, das geht aber bald kaputt. Dieses kleine Edelstalsieb werde ich bestimmt viele Jahre benutzen können.

Perfect size. Quality. Very smooth holes. I bought this specifically to drain watery whites off eggs before poaching. No fear of sharp edges breaking the yolk. Now I’m finding more and more uses. Perfect small colander!

I bought another set after my parents commandeered mine. I've been rinsing everything in it for years but I came here to write this review after I just learned a new superpower of this colander: poached eggs! See attached video, be amazed. The holes are punched outwards so they don't puncture the very thin skin on the egg whites yet they let the liquidy outer egg white layer strain off to get you those perfect string-free eggs. This works better than a mesh strainer because the eggs tend to just slide out of it and there's no chance of them getting snagged and ripping open on the way out.

This is the perfect size to wash blueberries etc and keep those berries well aerated and drained. We have some soup bowls that these fit perfectly inside of, so we can wash the berries and store them in the fridge while they drain completely and dry off, ready to be scooped out at busy breakfast time. Good product.
