This garage screen exceeded my expectations. Installation was simple, and it lets in plenty of fresh air while keeping bugs outside. The magnetic center closes automatically, making it easy to walk through. It’s made my garage much more enjoyable to use.

After installing new trim pieces the rest of the installation only took about 30 minutes. Follow the instructions and it goes in very easily. The center strip is magnetic and has enough strength to keep it closed but not so much that it can't be opened with just a push. It hangs straight and does keep the bugs out. I have no idea about being pet-friendly or temperature control. I can say it works with kids once they understand it only opens in the middle. I do recommend this door screen and if you follow the instructions it is an easy install.

I ordered 1 (15x8) and 2 (17x8). Could have gone a little smaller but this is for a houseboat so we wanted extra give in it…not too tight. It was very easy to put up. Each was packaged individually. It came with more than enough VERY strong Velcro. We have extra to use on other projects! Because we were not working on a smooth square surface, it took us a little longer to hang. We probably could have gotten it up in a couple of hours otherwise. The black does filter out a little of the hot Louisiana sun while still being very clear to see our surrounding. Also seems to limit air passing through. Another consideration is our large dog so when researching I wanted something that he wouldn’t tear through (hopefully). I did find cheaper nettings but the reviews and ratings on this brand were best. We have not actually used it yet for the purpose of keeping mosquitoes/bugs out but will soon. I do not foresee any problems though. If you know anything about south Louisiana, we have mosquitoes on steroids!!!! Updating soon after first use!!Highly recommend.

I dont normally write reviews but I felt this one needs an exception. As stated in product description, it is very easy even for one person to install. Mine was the perfect size and I was done installing it alone in about 45 minutes. It does take some measuring before applying the hook & loop tape and you must take into account that the screen material will stretch out over a few days. Rolling up each of the two sides to hang in the handy straps is a bit tricky with only one person as each side is 8 feet wide. Overall I am happy with this item as I feel it will help in keeping insects out of my garage. However, I believe that some improvements could be made. Two specifically would make vast improvements. The first is a somewhat stronger magnet set in the center closure. The installed magnets will not stay together in any direct or cross wind greater than about 8-9 mph. They will separate and allow the two sides of the screen to flap in the wind. If the garage door is closed this means the magnets will end up sticking to the door itself. If the garage door is open, the screens begin flapping in the wind and cause another set of problems. One being the automatic stop and raise function of the door opener if you are trying to close the door and one or both of the screens flap inward and break the beam making the opener think something is in the way causing the door to reverse. The other improvement would be higher quality side hook and loop. The wide one at the top appears very sturdy and I have had no issues with it. However, the narrow hook and loop along the sides is weak and requires repeated resetting even with the provided tool. This is true even when there is no or very little wind. If it gets windy and it certainly does here, and the magnets separate and the screen begins to flap, the outer sides hook and loop will also separate compounding the issue. So, my gripes center around the weak magnets and weak side hook and loop. For the hook and loop issue the company does provide colored tacks that can be used. I cannot use them as my home has vinyl siding with aluminum trim so the tacks wont penetrate. For me, this item seems to create more issues than it solves as I cant go two days without fussing with it because of the weaknesses Ive talked about. I may end up scrapping this item to replace it with a more sturdy fixed set up. I don't like to leave a review on a sour note so I will leave with this. The screen itself appears to be strong and durable. It is plenty thick and is colored perfectly. If it were not for dealing with the magnets and outer side hook and loop issues I would give this a five star rating.

might be one of the least expensive, but one of my favorite purchases during this house renovation! Close to a perfect fit, but easy to adjust. A little bit long for my door opening, but that’s OK. Went up super easy, and the screen is stronger than I thought it would be. Closes up nicely when I go through and has kept my work area pretty much bug free! it has been up for a few weeks now, and I have pushed boards through the opening, loading and unloading what I need for the renovation and the screen has not torn or come down at all. Bonus… My dog won’t push through it, so she can roam freely in the garage while I’m working! Worth every penny!

I ordered this one to replace a $100+ one I got last year from Home Depot, we still had the Velcro up from our previous one just needed a new screen. For $40 you truly cannot beat it. Ours is 16x7 hung up super easy, looks clean and fits perfect, quality of the Velcro on screen adhieres perfect to existing Velcro, the middle magnets close strong, and magnets on bottom are good weight to keep it in place even with wind.

I bought two of these, the first one I put in the front of my house its south facing so it gets a lot of sun and after 1 year it’s still standing but you can tell it’s taking a lot UV damage and it’s losing durability, but it did keep the bugs out and it worked great. The second one I put in the back covering my patio and it doesn’t get any sun. I think this one will last a lot longer, but they both do the job and keep the bugs out.

The magnets stick to each other well, but it also sticks to your garage door if not installed far enough away from the garage door. Every time the garage opens the screen gets pulled up. I put black duct tape as a barrier between the magnets and the garage door but that did not help. Installation was simple. It comes with tacks but that do not hold up well. The adhesive side came off after 4 days. This product may be better suited for cooler climates and not the Florida heat.

I installed this garage screen over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to put up. The instructions were straightforward, and everything I needed was included in the package.Once installed, it fit well and worked exactly as expected. The magnets close properly behind you, and it does a great job keeping bugs out while still letting fresh air into the garage. We've already spent more time in the garage because of it.Overall, it's a simple product that does what it's supposed to do. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to enjoy their garage during the warmer months.
