Ingredients (virgin olive oil, water, and caustic soda) are mixed in a large vat over low heat for approximately five days, before the mixture is poured over a large floor space. Shortly afterward, casts are laid down to cut the soap into individual blocks, which are then stamped with the traditional seal of the factory of production. Once the soap is cut into blocks, it is stacked in geometric towers which allow for air circulation that assists in the drying process. The towering pyramids of soap climb to heights of over eight feet, and line the halls of the factory’s drying room for a period of between ten and thirty days, before they can be packaged and shipped. Olive Oil Soap Nabulsi soap has only three ingredients: virgin olive oil, water, and food grade lye. In Nablus, the tradition of olive oil soap-making evolved into a major industry and an art. As early as the 10th century, the traditional olive oil soap from the city’s factories was exported across the Arab world, and as far a field as Europe, where it is said that sabon nabulsi was the soap of choice for Queen Elizabeth of England. These traditional Nabulsi soaps are made in a cube-like shape about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) tall and 2.25 by 2.25 inches (5.7 by 5.7 cm) wide, weighing approx. 4.5- 5 oz. The color of the bar is like that of “the page of an old book.” The cubes are stamped on the top with the factory’s seal. The smell of Nabulsi soap is distinctive, although it is not perfumed.

**Q: Does it lather up?**
A: It lathers up a little, but honestly you don't need it to. Soap is soap, and this one is pretty good.
Just wet your hands, rub some soap on them, spread the soap as you wash your hands, and you'll be able to tell that you've washed the soap off.
No extra lather needed.

**Q: is this really made in Palestine? I saw an Israeli company trying to sell this**
A: Yes it is

**Q: Anyone know what the white pspery bits in the soap It does not dissolve?**
A: First make sure you were sold genuine Aleppo Soap.

The label on your soap must indicate the place of manufacture (Syria or Aleppo).

No more than 4 ingredients: olive oil, bay leaf oil, soda, water.

Batch number to ensure the traceability of your soap.

Reach out to the seller and if needed Amazon to be sure your weren't tricked into buying a low grade copy made with who's knows what. 

 We've never found any type of debris in the soap we've purchased over the years.

**Q: How long does one bar of soap last?**
A: If I remember correctly, two of us using it was probably two months. It lathers nicely and I felt clean. And it didn't make my skin dry.

For anyone with dry skin & hates the oily residue feeling of practically every "moisturizing" soap on the market, this product is the answer. Not only does this soap give your skin a naturally soft, smooth feeling & appearance, but it leaves no oily feeling whatsoever, rinses easier than any other soap I've ever used & is practically non-scented. I leave it on my skin for about a minute before rinsing in order for my skin to absorb the natural ingredients & my skin hasn't felt so comfortable since I was a teenager. I just happened to watch a random online video about this company, their manufacturing process that hasn't changed in centuries & I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I tried it & I can't imagine going back to anything else. Worth every penny.
