## Description

This amazing Isotope glow fob hybrid is a cross between our stainless steel Embrite Glow Fob and the popular TEC-S311T Isotope Tandem Fob. Combining these two products into one created somewhat of a "Chain Reaction", making the product name an obvious choice! The Chain Reaction Fob is designed around two light sources. First up is the Embrite glow pellet which can be charged with ordinary sunlight or UV light, and once the nighttime comes it provides a large surface area to easily find anything it is attached to. Embrite is the TEC Accessories proprietary glow technology, affording the brightest, longest lasting 'glow-in-the-dark’ effect available in a tiny, rugged glow fob. But even the best glow in the dark material will only last so long, as it relies on "charging" by a light source to work. So this is when the second light source takes over! The installation of a standard-sized glass tritium vial (not included) will provide a continuous soft glow for many years without needing to charge it from sunlight or UV light. The Isotope Chain Reaction Fob is a great way to add a functional dual-glow to anything you attach it to. Use different colors to identify different pieces of gear!

Review: Special Operations soldier approved - Being a Special Operations soldier for the last 29 years in the US Army, I have used all forms of glow in the dark tapes, powders, fobs ect. A few of my soldiers purchased this item and I was able to see how well it performed first hand. As far as the glow fob itself. It’s very robust and holds the tritium very securely. The glow in the dark isotope holds its glow very well, a lot longer than many of the items we currently use today. It is NOT bright enough to read by nor navigate by, but is very useful for locating objects in dark environments. The darker and the longer you stay in the dark area, away from light, the easier it is to see the fob. We navigate many times in complete darkness, so preserving our nighttime vision is critical to our training as well as missions, that being said, we do not use white light at night. I now have this fob, as well as a few others with my gear ready for my next deployment. I will try and write back as to how well they hold up under these type conditions, but so far they have survived over 40 free fall parachute jumps, at least 20 deep water military scuba dives and several months of very harsh desert and urban training scenarios. I just ordered this one in the aqua color to see how bright it is compared to the green. In my opinion, this is a very nice product, and no, the company has not offered me a thing to write this. A: I got mine off of eBay. Don’t get a too dark of a color like I did (dark blue), because it’s hard to see. Shop around. There are more than one seller and some are a rip off. I overpaid ($28) and found the exact same for around $15. Make sure you get the right size because some dealers don’t sell the small size you need to fit inside the case.

**Q: Doesn’t tritium release ionizing radiation??**
A: This is just a housing/holder for tritium vials. Tritium vial is not included.

Deceptive product description, product in fact has no tritium tube and the glow is too subtle and short-lived to be useful. My interest in it was solely as a topic of conversation... Not much of a point if it's just a generic glowing keychain. I guess they got me this time. I see no utility in this item, but you might like it. seems durable.
