My son wanted to bring it on a European trip; I was a little reluctant but gave in and sure enough, he lost it on the trip. 🙄 I was surprised it still available on desertcart and ordered it but the bottle that came was quite different — different colors, different plastic and worst of all no carabiner. I thought for sure this was a discontinued item, especially since other reviewers were stating a similar experience. Months later I looked at some recent reviews and much to my surprise they said that it was as pictured. So I took a chance and ordered it again in early Dec 2024 and was thrilled & surprised that it was indeed the same one pictured with the wonderful carabiner! See my pics. They just work really well, are easy to clean (I hand wash through the week and toss them in the dishwasher on Fridays), hold up well, and don't leak - and no straw to deal with! I like the covered mouth piece and the autoseal feature works well. The handle has a built in clip that works great to clip it to a lunch box or backpack, if needed. They have a button you push that opens a home to drink through. Less parts! **Q: Are these bottle bpa free?** A: Yes, it is actually molded onto the bottom of the bottle- "BPA Free." My daughter loves hers- had them for about 10 months now- scratched up but still work fine. **Q: How can I buy just the top? Have two bottles but tje tops broke on each.** A: Contigo has a lifetime guarantee on the tops. If you still have them, you can submit a claim. I've replaced more tops than I can count at this point because they keep breaking. But they always send a free replacement (often a completely new water bottle). **Q: Does this have a straw?** A: There is no straw. You press a button and open the inside rubber seal to drink.
