excellent stuff, a must for a standing shower !

This is beautifully made. The seat is pretty and has been varnished so that is very smooth and stays clean. This was a replacement for an original one that was exactly the same, installed 12 years ago. The contractor never caulked around it so the screws into the wall corroded and the seat had to be broken off from the wall to be replaced. This replacement fit the set up exactly the same as the original. But this one is actually made better than the last one. This is one case or a product was actually improved rather than dummy down.

Chose this for a bathroom renovation. Can't comment on the ease of install because our contractor installed it. We bought it ahead of time so he could construct a suitable behind the wall support. It's a piece of 2x10 attached between 2 studs. You probably want something sturdy like that because this is not a cheap, lightweight unit. Materials, build, and finish are quite good. It's only been in place a couple of months but I feel like it will last.
