However the extension fit snugly over the base table that it doesn’t need to be necessarily screwed in. I have brewing ingredients and some electronics on mine and it’s positioned off the wall. No concerns for me about it falling. It’s been up for 5 months now to date **Q: There were opposite statement about making this a narrow standalone table. Could you put casters on the over table to make it work?** A: No. The part that attaches to the table (the legs) have an “L” shaped flanged to sit on top of and attach to the table on the table ends. There is no hole for a caster to insert. Great value ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durable, attractive and easy to clean shelving *by A***M on August 25, 2018* Have gotten many compliments on this shelf. It’s exactly what i wanted. Durable, functional and looks great sitting on my existing stainless work table. I happened to have some rubber feet that worked perfectly to sit the shelf on the table so that it won’t move. However, if you have a home where someone would grab it to hang on, then it could be pulled over or off the table with this type of set up. That is extremely unlikely to happen in my home, nonetheless, i don’t put knives or sharp objects on the shelf as a precaution. This issue could be mitigated by using the included attachment if you have a table that it will work with, but my table is wider, so it wouldn’t work - and frankly, i wouldn’t have used it anyway.
