I'm not sure why there is even a case because there are holes in it. My bread just goes stale by the next day.

Good. This is my second one (it will last until you drop it on floor and break it). It won't fit large loaves from the bread maker until after you have used up some of the bread.

Works to hold bread but doesn't prolong the freshness, in my opinion. I still need to freeze to keep longer.
