how often should you give for oral thrush?

My sons pediatrician said to apply once a day for 3 days and also to apply it to my nipples. This stuff is amazing and works miracles. I am so glad I used this when he had oral thrush, Many woman give up breast feeding because of the pain and inability to cure it with “conventional” medicine. This is the only thing I will use. Definitely be careful with application as it does stain but my sons purple mouth was gone for the most part within the day and totally gone after 2/3 days.

For how long is your mouth or skin stained?

DO NOT put this in your mouth. It is for external use only. I'm not sure how long the stain lasts. That would depend upon a lot of variables. Where it's applied or how often the affected area is washed or bathed etc. The stain was on my dogs foot for about a month until I bathed her.

Don't see how many ounces this bottle is?

I don't have my bottle in front of me but it probably is 1 or 2 oz. 'bout the size of your thumb. It will last forever and you can't find it much cheaper than on Amazon!

My nipples do not stay purple after feeding baby to threat for nipple thrush...am I doing something wrong? I applied quite a bit and let it dry.

if it is coming off completely reapply but if its just not as purple after a feeding then there is no need. I would treat baby with the gentian violet I used a Qtip and painted her mouth and tongue with it cleared up the thrush in 3 days we took nystatin and diffucan for 3 weeks and it did nothing then we found out baby was allergic to nystatin she had 2nd degree chemical burn on her mouth and private parts
