Portable Electric Hot Paraffin Wax Warmer Spa Bath

I read a lot of iffy reviews before I bought this. Just want to say the product arrived packed very well, was brand new in the box, and works great. The only "con' is that the temp setting doesn't actually tell you the temp... it's just a number. If you really want to know the actual temp, you need to have a laser temp gun. When I initially melted the wax for the first time, I set it on "65". The wax melted in 2-3 hours. I keep mine set on "47" to actually keep the wax melted. When I'm going to use it, I kick the 'temp' down to "44"...and wait about 10-15 minutes for the wax to cool down just a little. It will start to harden up just a bit and get a bit of a film across the top of the wax...Then it's perfect. If I leave it on "44" for too long, the wax will start to get semi-hard. If I try to stick my hand in at the "47" setting, I find it just a bit too hot. It helps a LOT with my arthritis. Feels so good... It also helps with my dry hands. I put a little bit of olive oil on my hands before I dip them. I have this machine for home use, and am using with Therabath Professional wax, no scent. Took 4 bags to fill it. I peel the wax off after and put it back in the pot, since the machine is just for my personal home use.

After researching all the reviews of all the listed parafin wax warmers on Amazon I chose this one because of the descrete look and ergonomics and the metal interior. It arrived quickly through Prime and I was immediately satisfied with the look and quality of this product. After using it multiple times and appreciating the ease of viewing and using the digital readout temperature control, I am a very, very satisfied customer. It blends in on the bathroom counter and is very easy to access. Great purchase at what I believe to be a great price.

What a buy! This wax heater looks and performs exactly like the one used by my physical therapist, with the same temperature controls, shape, form, and function. I leave it set on 50 and it draws very low power. I am dipping my hands two or three times a week: 1. using one hand, do five dips, hold for five seconds in the wax, hold for ten seconds outside the wax, repeat for five good layers 2. cover with plastic bags then wrap with terrycloth towels 3. rest for ten to fifteen minutes before removing plastic and wax 4. use soft wax for squeezing exercises until wax is stiff This gives me a lot of relief of arthritic pain in my thumbs. There is a nice platform for the bottom of the bath that keeps you from touching the hot surface below. Very reasonable price, excellent product. Mine has been running 24/7 for several months without any problems. I have large hands and the bath is comfortably large for one hand at a time. Big thumbs (ouch!) up!

Works well and heat feels good on arthritic hands but it doesn't last long even though I wrap my hands in plastic bags and bath towel. I leave it on for about 10 minutes but the feeling of heat subsides in about 5 mins. My hands are less painful overall so it must be helping. I set it up on an old microwave cart that I put in the bathroom. You need space for it and the only problem with the cart is it is too high if I want to dip a foot (one foot at a time would fit). I haven't tried that yet but would only move the unit to the floor before plugging it in as you don't want to spill any hot wax! I generally turn the unit on after lunch. It takes nearly 2 hours to melt 5 lbs of wax. I bought Paramed wax on Amazon. 6 lbs was about $25. It's good and very oily so no need to add mineral oil. I only added 5-6 drops of peppermint oil as recommended by my physical therapist. May try adding more but we do notice a slight odor from it. Not unpleasant, just something we are not used to. One thing I cannot tell is whether the interior is plastic or metal. My PT said to get metal as some plastic units leak. Inside and out is all white and when you tap on the inside it sounds more like plastic than metal. But it hasn't leaked after the first week. Overall, happy with it. But be aware it does take some dedicated space, and then commitment to use it regularly. It is easier to do one hand at a time unless you have someone to help cover your second hand. It would be hard to do both hands if you're alone. I do one at a time so I have the other hand free to use my iPad, TV remote or whatever. I believe the product was fulfilled by Amazon, but not sure. In any case, after 5 business days, it had not even been processed for shipping! I contacted Amazon and they expedited it but be aware if you use free shipping, that apparently also means you're at the back of the line for even starting to process your order! Pay for shipping if you're in a hurry. I had the wax within 2 or 3 days and it sat here waiting for the warmer! As others have noted, the instructions are a joke, written by someone with little knowledge of English. Another reviewer wrote out the directions, which was helpful. Also, go to YouTube and a couple of physical therapists have a very good video on how to use it. You must dip your hands or feet at least 5 times to get enough wax layer to provide enough heat. I sometimes do more dips. So my advice is to be aware it takes time to melt the wax, and time to use it daily, or whenever. If you don't have the time, this will just be another dust catcher. But if you can invest the time, it does seem to help arthritis pain. My PT said I'd notice more benefit over time as it reduces inflammation each time you use it.

I just received this yesterday. I spent week researching and making a decision on which one I should buy. My only criticism would be price because it doesn't come with any accessories so by the time you buy the wax & other accessories adds about $30 or more to the price. I save money by purchasing pot holding mits from Dollar tree . I made a good decision on buying this in spite of the additional cost . This is my reasoning. One of the important things for me is the handles as I need to move it which would be dangerous with hot wax. I didn't see handles on any of the ads for other similar products unless you paid a lot more. The depth is good I can put my hands up to and including my wrist or more if I choose to put more wax in it. I put only 3 lbs of Wax in it. I could have put more probably 4 lb which is recommended. The temperature gauge, I think is important to give me some control over the heat level.other people have said it gets too hot and I haven't quite figured out yet how to get the right temperature. My theory, having used it only once, to heat it up fast is recommended then, then turn the temperature down. I turned it down below what's recommended and then leave the lid off and let it cool to the air. I think this would not be necessary if I didn't set the temperature so high in order 2 heat the wax quickly. I think next time I will set it on low and let the wax melt slowly so that it doesn't get so hot that it requires a cool down. The trick is knowing which is quicker heating it high to melt quickly and taking the time for to cool or setting it on the low temperature thereby taking extra time to heat the wax. I'll post that result when I know more. I am very pleased with this item. I did excessive comparative research before purchasing.I congratulate myself on my excellent choice& the company on producing really great product. Also it was delivered quickly. 3 lb of the wax beads by wexel sp? Heated up in a little over 1/2 hour. I got the cheap plastic cozies plastic covers for hands and feet. Bad choice they're just a bunch of flimsy plastic bags no hand or foot shapes or ties. I haven't tried my feet in the salon sundry yet. I wear a size 7 women's. When I hold my shoe over it, I estimate that size 7 + 2 inches would fit nicely.

Perfectly content. Doesn't come with wax. Takes 4 lbs. I bought GiGi paraffin. Great wax. I have a digital laser temperature gun-highly suggest you do too. Set it on "65" to melt. Whatever that means temperature wise. When it melts, turn down to "45" directions say. I think that number isn't an option. I change it to "44". When it cools down to 135 F I put my hand in. Hold in in about 10 seconds, remove for 5 seconds, repeat times 3. One hand at a time. Then put each hand in a large ziplock bag, and fold over a big thick bathroom towel, so your hands are resting on, and covered up by the towel-keeping your hands warm for longer. I wash my hands first, so I can peel off the wax and put it back in the warmer. The ziplock bags are reusable. My Physical Therapist recommended this for hand pain, caused by an injury. This winter, my hands have been beyond dry and rough and cracked. Too bad for any lotion to fix. This thing took care of that after the first use. Pain from the injury is way down too. If you think this might help you-you're correct. And this unit is fine.

I have used this 3 times now with my carpal tunnel and it does calm the pain. I found cotton mitts and unscented paraffin. I highly recommend you don't go above 50 degrees on this because it really is hot. Comes with a bottom tray so your hand does not touch the inner hot surface. It will run for several hours and has auto shut off. You can keep it on adjustable temp to keep wax warm and turn it up to use it. It will hold 6 pounds of wax easily, but I only use 3 and don't use lotion before waxing so I can peel the wax back into the unit for later. After much reading on reviews, I am very happy I choose this unit as it is big enough for a woman size 8 foot.

We never got around to using it. It sits in the closet waiting for a brain storm.

Awesome product. I was able to fit an entire box of pellets in the machine. Takes about 2 hours to melt completely from 3/4 full at 60 degrees. Turn it on when I get home ready to go when I need it.

Thank you CaVaBien Salon in Calgary for your review. I figured if a professional Salon uses this for their customers then it ought to be good. And it is! Very pleased with this wax warmer. Priced well for quality. I used a mix of Homedics paraffin wax and Karite lavender paraffin wax (purchased separately of course) Melted nicely, temp easily adjusted and maintained. Paying a little more compared to cheaper models will not disappoint. Enjoy the therapy!

I just put it on the lowest setting. Which is 50 degrees. It melts the wax perfectly. And it’s a very large size. I was so happy to find this as I wasn’t keen on paying the bigger price for the other one. I use my hands a lot for work and I had an injury from a fall. I find this has been helping me a lot to heal
