Is this true?** A: No- it’s self sealing plastic .. no paper.. (I love these mats - very durable) **Q: Could this be used on top of bed just to cut fabric with scissors** A: I suppose so but it wouldn’t be a very stable surface. The mat is certainly thick enough to protect your bed. **Q: does the mat roll up or fold?** A: it doesn't fold and I wouldn't advise rolling it. it would be difficult to get it flat again.
