SuperEar SE9000HP Hearing Amplifier for Seniors, Personal Sound Amplifier

We purchased this for my mom when her hearing was really failing - she never liked hearing aids and finally refused to use them. We learned about this item from Mom's home-visit doctor who said she always carried them when visiting her hard-of-hearing patients. What a difference these made for Mom - it was so much easier for her to hear the TV, it was easier for us to talk with her. When she was in the hospital, the nurses loved being able to speak with her easily, without having to raise their voices - surprisingly, they were't awar of this type of item but found it so very useful. I hope they got some on the ward because they were worth their weight in gold so far as communicating with Mom was concerned. We were all very, very happy with this item. Battery seemed to last a long time too. Definitely worth the money, easy to use, Mom thought they were pretty comfortable too.

We bought this for my 91 year old father in-law. He had tried several over-the-counter hearing aids and always had trouble with the background noise being too loud. It was hard for him to communicate at all without something. He tried this and loves it. We can all have normal conversations with him now without yelling. He even talks much quieter. He said the background noise is not a problem with this device. He even got to hear the birds singing again. Highly recommended. Give it a try. Well worth the money!

Simple to use. Tho memory impaired may require assistance. Amplifies all sound. My mother found her own voice being amplified a bit annoying. But, it’s nice not to have to raise my voice all the time. She doesn’t like earbuds, so it’s was also nice that there was the headphone option. When I listened the sound quality was fair. There seemed to be white noise, which perhaps those hard of hearing wouldn’t notice?

Today, I gave this to my 75 yr old friend who is severly hearing impaired, coupled with early stage dementia. I charged the device for 12 hours before I gave it to him. He was near tears because it works perfectly and I didn't have to ask him constantly if he can hear me. He has $5000 hearing aids, from VA, which gave him ear infections so many times, that he refused to wear them. It only took me 30 minutes to explain over and over (we practised) due to his dementia, and he knew exactly how to use the Super Ear. A person without cognitive decline would figure out this device in 3 minutes. The batteries are rechargeable; no need for replacements. The ON/OFF volume dial is simple/easy. There's a charging cord and I told him not to charge it for more than 8 hrs overnight because the device lasts for 40 hours on one charge. He could hear more than I wanted him to with the Super Ear on, because he basically lived in silence, so I would listen to his non stop same stories over and over. I swear I would pay 1K for this amplifier because it doesn't squeak, I didn't have to speak on his behalf today, omg.

I tried this for mu elderly sister. When she used it she could not understand. So I listened as I was using it. I would not recommend and it seemed garbled. I asked members of the family and they did not think the sound was adequate.

I got this to be able to hear the dialog on TV. It does make sound louder but ALL the sound including the background music on the show is louder. The only help this gives is the other people watching the TV can have the sound at a normal volume and you can move the sound up and down as you want.

We heard about this item recently when we were visiting my dad in the hospital and my mom could not hear the nurses speaking. One of them mentioned this product so I wrote it down to check it out. I ordered this for my mom and I have NEVER seen her more happy and excited about something! She can sit at a table now with others around and hear the conversation going around the table. Prior to the SuperEar, she would mention that she always felt like she was all alone, when she sat with all of us, since she couldn't hear peoples conversation (with her hearing aid). It was heartbreaking! She can use this when she is on the phone and hear conversations on the phone now too. She puts the phone on speaker and puts that on the table and puts the device on the table too. She brought it to her hairdresser with an old pair of headphones and was able to hear the hairdresser speak to her while she waited for her hair to be colored. Normally she can't hear a word since she would have her hearing aid out. She can also hear the tv better now instead of trying to read the closed captions that go too fast! She takes her hearing aid out in order to use this device and we are so thankful to have mom back in our conversations and to also be able to speak to her more easily on the phone! A++++++++++ product!

It picks up a lot of back ground noise and not the tv when watching it.

Perfetto nel mio caso. Lo uso con una persona anziana con forte deficit uditivo e che non vuole usare auricolari (anche se sono in dotazione). Le cuffie sono state provvidenziali e non sono costretto a urlare per comunicare.

Easy for my mum to use and be able to have conversations with us easily.
