Can the frame the weight of 2-3 10-lb blankets? I want to use it to build a vocal booth using heavy sound dampening blankets.

This is exactly what I bought it for. It seems to be working fine so far, the frame seems pretty sturdy. However, I am using four shipping blankets that probably weight around 15 lbs. together. Seems like it could hold at least a bit more but maybe not super heavy blankets, 30 lbs. not sure but possibly. I use spring clamps to attach the blankets to the frame. Hope that helps.

I'm 6' 4" tall. Will I be able to stand up to use as a shower?

It'll be close.....but definitely do-able. Stand in the very center. You may need to bend your neck a bit, but nothing uncomfortable. I have had 6'4" guys using as a changing room. No one complained.
