Great addition for movie nights
The Poplite Hot Air Popcorn Popper works great and makes fresh popcorn quickly and efficiently. It's surprisingly quieter than other popcorn poppers I've used, which is a nice bonus, especially when making snacks for the family. The popcorn comes out light and fluffy, and cleanup is simple since no oil is required. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an on/off switch—you have to plug it in and unplug it to operate it. It's not a dealbreaker, but it would definitely make the machine more convenient to use. The kernals were popped and not burned. The machine is average size. The plastic parts seem thick and durable This is a reliable and easy-to-use popcorn popper that delivers great results. Highly recommended for popcorn lovers!

Favorite kitchen gadget
I looooove popcorn and this makes it so easy to make my favorite snack. Pops most of the kernels every time. It works best when you use the full scoop of kernels. I use a large popcorn bucket I bought at a theater and it catches most of the popcorn coming out. I wish it had an on/off switch. Well worth the price.

Very good popper
The Orville popcorn popper does a great job. However, the scoop which double as a butter melting container is not microwave safe. The popping cycle doesn't melt butter sufficiently, so I popped the scoop with butter into the microwave for 15 seconds and thus melted the scoop. Otherwise, I would recommend this popper indeed.

Works Like a Charm
If you appreciate a crunchy snack like potato chips without all the oil (fat), this is a must-have. You can make up to 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels at a time so you can make it once, have a small bowl, and have more for 2 or 3 more snacks. If you want it with melted butter, it comes with a cup that sits on the top and melts the butter while the popping is happening. While there is no pre-heat function, plugging it in once you've put in the kernels, starts this unit heating up fast, which in turn starts popping quickly. When you're done popping, use caution when touching the spout or butter cup, as they get very hot, so use a potholder or glove. Anyway, the popcorn comes out nice and fluffy and warm. The unit is easy to clean as the spout lifts off so you can easily empty out the very few unpopped kernels and wipe out the heating unit. It takes up very little counterspace if you don't have the cabinet space for it. The cord wraps around the back of the unit when you're not using it. I've been using this unit every 3-4 days for a few months now, and it hasn't skipped a beat. Works like a charm every time, and shows no sign of not continuing. So, it seems like a very durable popper. As a bonus, the yellow color adds a nice touch that matches my yellow and black kitchen color scheme. If you're considering a hot air popper, buy this!

Excellent, with one very small mod/addition to make it even BETTER.....
Superb air popper. Let it heat up for about two minutes, and dump-in your corn kernels...taking care not to burn yourself, of course. The only caveat is when using smaller white kernel corn as some have complained about....the fan is strong enough to blow them right out...and I found a work-around for that, as we use small white corn (virtually hull-less) kernels....I found that if you EVER SO SLIGHTLY tip the popper back just a wee bit, it will retain those kernels for enough time to pop them before they build-up and then spill over....but you don't want it tipped back too far or you will burn the corn because it won't be able to clear the chamber. I used a very, VERY thin shim- a felt foot actually, one on each side of the front end. Works perfectly. Do so at your own risk. This is not a Presto-authorized modification and I assume no responsibility if you try this on your own. But this is what's worked for us.

Turn off Button a Plus
Good quality. I like that it has a turn off button. The other one I purchased turned off by unplugging and sparked. Easy to use, healthy less expensive popcorn. Good popping time. Easy to clean

Easiest and fastest way to make popcorn at home!
I was surprised at how quickly this popper pops 9 cups of fresh popcorn right into a bowl! It works as advertised and couldn't be easier to use. Now that I'm restricted from salt this is how I can consume excellent popcorn and add my own non-salt toppings. I didn't mind paying a bit more for the version with an on/off switch and a metal measuring cup. It's likely easier to avoid a bent or melted measuring cup than to replace it down the road. Highly recommended!

What's that smell?
The good: -- This thing pops my kernels to their full potential. Some others pop them smaller, so you end up with half a bowl of disappointing popcorn. -- It works pretty fast -- While all of these air poppers will spit out unpopped kernels, it's pretty minimal with this one -- There's no weird "preheat" requirement: you just plug it in and it makes popcorn. The bad: -- No switch: you plug it in to turn it on, unplug to turn it off. This isn't a huge deal, but it does cause some annoyances. One is that if your outlet isn't conveniently located you will find it annoying. Two, if it pops an extra few kernels after unplugging, you have to plug it back in to shoot them out. Again, not a huge deal, but it's just awkward and I don't understand why they wouldn't add a switch. The ugly: -- Every air popper I tried had a weird, chemical type smell at first. Smelled like some kind of adhesive or lubricant or plastic off-gassing from the factory. With most of them, after running the popper for several minutes a couple times, the smell stopped happening. But this one still smells! Especially right at the end of popping when you unplug it. I'm past the return date on this but am wondering if I should stop using it, because the smell seems like something that could be getting into the popcorn and it definitely smells like something you should not ingest. This bothers me quite a bit and is the main reason I'm only giving 4 stars. Normally I'd give it even less (because no appliance should make you worry about food safety), but I seriously went through three other poppers before finding one that actually popped correctly and didn't spit huge amounts of kernels everywhere, so this one is still better by comparison.

I RECOMMEND IT
Awesome popcorn popper. Works as described. Popcorn some times gets stuff once they really get popping which requires you to unclog the popcorn to prevent burning.

Excellent popcorn maker
My 30-year old Sunbeam popcorn maker finally died and I replaced it with this one. I loved that Sunbeam because it made good popcorn and I only had to hold back the popcorn in the chute with a wooden spoon to keep it from spitting out unpopped kernels. This Presto is much better. I still use the wooden spoon at the very beginning to let the popped kernels accumulate in the chute, then the weight of those kernels keeps the unpopped ones in the chamber until the very end when almost all the popcorn is finished popping. I then use the spoon again to hold back the last few before unplugging the device. The few remaining kernels then pop and I dump them out. Others have commented that they wished there was an on/off switch. I don't find this to be an issue at all as you still have to plug and unplug the popcorn maker unless you're leaving it on your counter all the time. It takes effectively zero effort so no complaints from me. The clear chute has remained clean and fully transparent through numerous uses. It might discolour over time, but so far so good. I'm careful to leave the chute on the unit while it cools to avoid the risk of deforming the hot plastic. This is recommended in the manual. The popcorn seems to be fluffier than my old unit made, and there are far fewer unpopped kernels, plus it's very fast so that's why I give it 5-stars. One minor quibble is that if you wind the cord around the cord holder, which is a good idea because it fastens the chute to the body to prevent accidentally falling off onto the floor with possible damage, then the stiff cord wants to remain coiled. When you plug it in, there's tension as the cord wants to recoil and that pulls and rotates the unit because the feet aren't grippy enough on my polished granite countertop. This causes it to rotate so it might not point into the bowl. But, you're supposed to be supervising it anyway so again, no big deal. I just smooth out the cord before using it. Will it last 30 years like my old Sunbeam? I won't be around to ask my heirs. 😉

Absolut KEINE kaufempfehlung meinerseits !!!!!
