How does this buckle compare with the traditional marseille style buckles? Does it release well? Also, how stretchy is the belt? Thank you!!

Not sure what you meant by marseille style buckles, but the buckle is very strong, stiff enough where coral wont unbuckle it if you scrape on it. easy on the hand to release. The belt has slight stretch but definately not a rubber band. The material is very strong and durable. The rubber will not allow the weight to slip up your body on dives. I stand by this product and it is definately worth your money.

Works great! The buckle is made of plastic and the belt is made of a tough rubber. The Rubber really makes a big difference compared to regular nylon weight belts. It is much easier to make it tighter and feels amazingly comfortable. It stretches so I wrap my catch bag around the belt when i dont want it to be loose. This would be very difficult with a nylon belt. Also the buckle is of great quality. Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Length is easy to shorten if needed. Cons: Cant find any

Easy release buckle is sturdy and goes on easily. The rubber belt is strong and holds 13 lbs weights with ease.

RIFFE did not disappoint

As everyone knows RIFFE make great dive gear. The rubber is very good quality and the plastic clip has not failed me after many dives. Being ribbed on the back kind of helps the weights from sliding, but if your using pinch weights or the lock rings your good to go. All in all its a great belt and you will not be disappointed.
