Pentair EC-462024 -Natural Gas 125K Heater - Limited Warranty

Have had zero issues with this heater. Works well for my 18'x54" above ground pool. Easy to install, would recommend for anyone with a smaller pool.. This is our second season using this heater, and haven't had any issues.

Extremely disappointing experience. I purchased this pool heater new and, due to weather and pool opening season in Northern Pennsylvania, had it professionally installed when ready for first use. Upon startup, the heater immediately failed, displayed repeated error codes, would not ignite, and never produced heat — it never worked from day one. We spent hours troubleshooting using the manufacturer manual and online guidance, verifying gas flow, water circulation, and setup were all within proper operating range. What turned a frustrating situation into a terrible experience was the seller’s handling of the issue. A return was discussed and Amazon customer service advised the item was eligible for return due to being defective. However, despite this, the seller refused to provide a prepaid return label or even a return address for this large/heavy item and instead insisted we pursue manufacturer warranty repair on a brand-new heater that never functioned upon first use. Most concerning was being repeatedly accused of damaging the heater despite immediate reporting, documentation, photographs, troubleshooting efforts, and proof of installation conditions. For a major purchase of this cost, I expected accountability and customer service — not weeks of frustration, hours spent with customer service, and resistance to resolving a defective product issue. Buyers should carefully document everything from delivery through installation and understand the return process before purchasing.

Great product. Working fine fir us until now no problems. Just when you get it if on the side says lp means liquid propane. If not means natural gas. By mistake get wrong one and they replace it right away. Discounted pool service great costumer service. Thank you

Love this heater works awesome

The heater came with box damage and scratch on front of heater. The heater didn’t come with the high temp unions shown in the picture with the heater. Had several conversations with the seller about getting these parts that were suppose to come originally. The sellers answer was sorry we don’t have the parts and you can return the 120 lb heater if you want. Also they were no help in helping me to figure out what parts were missing. After researching myself I had to order the $60 unions to make hooking up my heater possible. Also the heater didn’t come with a 3/4 inch zinc plug you will need. The heater was a pretty easy to install. Seems to heat my 15000 gallon pool up around 2 degrees an hour.

Very simple to install. It is a replacement for our 40 year old Pentair unit that started leaking 2 years ago.

Takes over 2 hours to heat up

“Too many cooks” Had a twisted path to get any action from Amazon, Doheny, and Pentair when trying to install and also to register this product. I suggest not buying from Amazon to avoid some of the hassles.
