Our cat is indoor/outdoor because he was rescued as a stray adult cat. So he already had learned to live outside and hunt, and to keep him inside we would be medicating him daily.It is very effective - when our cat breaks out of this collar every 2-3 months he always comes home with a bird within 24 hours, but the entire time he wears this colorful collar, no birds (and he still catches mice!).It’s easy to put on and take off, but it will stay on my cat. Works with breakaway collars (I use a silicone one bc standard breakaway collars fall off in a week on my cat).I also like the color (rainbow) more than other patterns. Can be washed and holds up well with daily use and infrequent washing. The reflective strip around the edge is a nice safety feature for when my cat refuses to come home during daylight hours. He also looks funny in it, which is a nice perk.Only con is that it’s a little expensive for what it is. But we keep buying this bc it’s saving a lot of our local birds.

Best thing ever invented! Our last indoor/outdoor cat brought in a mice a day. Ugh. Horrible. Our new cat got in a tussle w a beautiful Bluejay. I was devastated. I found this collar and life is heaven. It works. I have bird feeders and my cat n the birds exist together. Also it looks freaking adorable. I do take it off at night as she is inside nighttime. I have to be honest I rubber banned the end to tje collar for easy removal access amd easy to put back on in the a.m. Otherwise greatest thing ever invented. Thank you.

I was so hoping this collar would be the answer to keeping my cat from catching birds but alas no. Since I put it on him 4 weeks ago he has caught 2 birds that I know of. It is heartbreaking to see that something that claims to be scientifically proven to prevent him from catching birds and it is not.

Okay it has been effective but for the price it’s not what I expected. Given the price of this piece of cloth and the length of time it took for me to get it I realized I had not truly read the description. This is a literal piece of cloth that goes over your existing cat collar. I had imagined something that was more like a light scrunchie that went around the cats neck. It has certainly been effective at preventing the cat capturing birds but it is not something that can be left on all the time because it prevents the cat from effectively drinking water because it gets in the way . The other issue that I had not considered was with a long-haired cat , the hair just covers up the collar- you can see in the picture that you can’t even see it with my cat. Great idea but so so execution on the product.

I didn’t realize it had a reflective edge to it, that’s a nice feature. Hopefully this will work, I will come back to update! So far the quality looks great.

I can’t say for sure if it works for the birds but she sports it really well! We think it’s adorable on her! The quality is very nice and it’s worth the money. I hope it will help the birds out but we shall see.

I ordered this for my bird killing cat. It works and makes him look very cute. My only concern with it is that it bleeds all over my cat's neck It is a red collar and he still has a very red/pink neck a week after I took it off. Granted, he is a cat that likes the outdoors even when it is raining. I'd suggest taking it off for rain as it makes his neck soaking wet. If you have a dirty cat like I do (one who loves to roll and get wet), this collar will quickly be filthy. I haven't tried washing it is in the machine, but it does hand wash. Wish it didn't turn my white cat pink/red. Minus this problem, I would suggest that this is a fabulous idea. Washing machine instructions would be helpful! We are alternating between multiple bells and this collar, but the bells are winning out as being effective as well and don't get wet/dirty. I was hoping to use both and still will in between washings if the pink/red staining stops.

My cat is happy to wear it - she has previously lost collars within hours! It hasn't stopped her climbing the trees either.However, it has had no effect. Sadly, she has caught 4 birds (of differing breeds) within 3 days despite this collar cover and a bell on her collar.

Seems Good, My Cat Doesn't Seem To Mind It On At All And It Looks Good, Seems To Slow Her Down A Bit As Well. Have Yet To See If It Helps Save Any Birds From This Bird Murderer Cat Of Mine! Hopefully!

It actually works. She looks like a clown but our excellent hunter has gone from a bird in the house daily to zero. She has only worn it for a week but we are thrilled with the results so far.

Doesn't work. My cat had it on the first time and the same day she caught a bird again.
