Amazing for $100 with only one small fault
These are going to be my first dip into pro-ish level in ear monitors. When it came to other iem's that I have tried, I have only ever bought consumer level in-ears and some of the budget oriented monitors from KZ like the ES4 and ZSN Pro X. This is actually my first Sennheiser as well so I was rather excited due to the company's lineage and experience. Inside the box was nicely laid out and came with everything I needed. The only gripe I had was the little "bag" that was meant to hold the iems in. It's one of those "snap bags" but instead of having a magnetic clasp to keep them closed, its just two bits of stiff plastic that keep it closed by simply being rigid, and if you want to open the bag you push in the sides to snap it open. They really should have included a zippered bag of some kind because that would have been simpler. The comfort of the monitors is simply great. They're small and could fit into most ears and the stiff over ear hook can easily be bent into any shape to fit any ear. Some might not like the wire design but I think it works out just fine. One very important thing to note about the silicone and foam ear tips is the cylinder of foam on the inside. Please take care when switching out tips because this foam is CRUCIAL to keeping the sound profile right. Yes, even though you can swap out the tips for more comfortable ones, you will have a VASTLY different sound profile due to the lack of dampening foam. Also, be sure to double check the nozzle itself because it too has some foam inside. For the most part, just be careful when switching tip sizes and use the cleaning tool to orient the tubes of foam so they sit correctly inside the nozzle and ear tips. I know it sounds like a hassle, but once you are aware of it, there should be no issues. For the sound quality. I have to say that these things are well balanced with some boost in the trebles that add a bit of brightness to each song. Snare drums and cymbals sound a bit more forward, but this is where the small fault comes in. There will be some songs in which the "S" and "T" sounds from vocalists will be a bit harsh, but not unbearable. Think about how recording a voice sounds like without a pop filter and you will get the general idea of what I'm talking about. This doesn't mean the sound is totally bad, far from it. It's just a warning that some tracks with certain lyrics will not sound the best unless the mastering of said track is a bit warmer. I have tried many genre's with these monitors and I will say all of them are pleasing and detailed. Even the bass is well tuned and you can get a nice thump, nothing that is head rocking and muddy but good enough. I will say that these do fit within the pro range and have a rather flat curve, in spite of what you might see on some frequency response graphs. I will say that minus the occasional shrill tracks you might run into, these will fit most, if not all genres of music. In the end, these are indeed pro level in-ears that you can get for a mere $100 and they will not disappoint. If you want to hear familiar tracks in a different way, I would recommend these. But also be sure that you are listening to a good source because the clarity of these in-ears will reveal badly recorded or low quality sound files very easily. A definite must-have for music enjoyers.

Great earbuds after 3 years of use, fit my small ear cannels
Fit comfortably in my small ears, good sound, pretty good seal as well, great value for the money! Almost my daily drivers so I abused them like hell of the last 3 years and they still look and sounds brand new. Contemplating buying the 600's XD

my fave headphones
the noise cancellation seems shabby if you test in a contrived way but at the gym or coffee shop, i dont notice the world outside. they do let some sound in but that's what i prefer. somehow they are perfect.

Good value for money, but treble-y
Overall, I'd rate this 3.5/5. For reference, I bought these IEM's for live performance at my church. Keep my use-case in mind during this review. These fit my ears really well, and they ship with a few extra tips you can use if your ears are bigger or smaller. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD6XX headphones that I use for most of my music listening during my hours at work. In comparison to the headphones I am used to, these IEM's are very treble-y, but they still have some bass. If you are looking for a "neutral" sound, do not buy these. For the price, I think these are a good value for the money. My plan is to use these until they break and then I will upgrade to a better pair of monitors. I mainly play bass and guitar, and these will work great for that use case. I think I would recommend different monitors if you are a vocalist though. The treble is a little much.

Excellent Sound, Great Fit for Me
I know good audio when I hear it, that's why I own Sennheiser Pro Reference Studio headphones for my home system. I lost my old wired ear buds for traveling and replaced them with these. I don't want Bluetooth, I'm OK with the USB dongle on my phone to give me a 1/8" jack and I don't want to have to charge my buds. I guess I'm old school. Anyway, when I put these in my ears and put on some Offspring, the sound quality is damn near to my studio phones. Frequency response and dynamic range are terrific. Switched to classical and jazz, same thing. Wow. The default cups cover your ear hole, they do not try to stick in the ear canal. This works perfectly - it couples the sound and you get nice reduction of outside noise. One warning: these can play loud enough to hurt you, and if you use a "sound booster" app, they can hurt you bad.

got my hopes up
I just knew with a name like Sennheiser, some good reviews, and a moderate price that I would be able to use these in-ears successfully with my existing monitor tx/rx system. I already knew my system was great with my mid-level AKG headphones, but don't want to wear full headphones all night onstage. I carefully unpacked these buds and hooked them up just like I had the 'phones, and the sound was atrocious. Full fuzz on the low notes of my guitar, and lack of any definition on the mid and upper registers. I was prepared with a 10-band equalizer to fix any issues I might have. After rolling out all the sliders from 31hz to 250hz, the fuzz was gone but I couldn't get any definition throughout the spectrum no matter what. I finally came up with a compromise for the guitar and checked my Shure SM57 mic. It sounded very much like a toy mic that would be included with a child's first karaoke set. I never succeeded in getting the mic to sound passable, and anything I adjusted destroyed the flimsy compromise I had made for the guitar sound. I guess I will use my in-ear system (with headphones) for rehearsal at home and continue to use floor wedges for live work. These are going back to the seller.

Sharp sound
They sound too sharp; weak on bass. They are hard to put on. I used them with a JSAUXx headphone adapter on an iPhone. The sound was better with the Apple EarPods.

Good Overall
These are my first pair of iems. I had bought another one before this but they didn’t fit my ears, these have a perfect snug fit. They sound just as good too! They also come with a carrying pouch which I found neat.

Probably won't use it on stage, but for everyday use/music practice it's PERFECT.
They work great, there are no quality issues whatsoever. I use it both to listen to music when I walk/run/exercise and on my electric violin/guitar practice. For all that these monitors are great! The sound isolation is beyond decent, the fit is great. They don't fall out of my ears, and the sound quality is better than all my previous non-monitor ear buds. However, if you play live shows that require in-ear monitors, you would probably choose something on a higher level/price point. Since additional drivers will deliver better audio results and in case of bad venues and lazy sound engineers, you often rely on your own monitors the most. Still, for $150 these monitors are hard to beat. Just great for any musician or just audiophile.

Ottime cuffie low budget

They do the job
I rated 5 stars because they work for what I want (monitors for guitar practice). Pros Extremely light and comfortable Fit very well to the point I forget I'm wearing them. Audio quality good enough for my purpose. Probably won't fall even if you get a kick in the face. Cons You won't get a lot of bass (again, this is not for day to day audio listening) Audio isolation really depends on how well the tips fit your ears, don't expect magic to happen. These are by no means a super high level pro device but for my in house guitar practice it is amazing. Don't buy these expecting you are going to get concert grade IEM. My only regret is that the wireless version is a couple dollars more, probably would've got that one if I knew before.
