I've tried Butterscotch, which didn't work, and Coconut, which did. I wanted to add a Salted Caramel version to the range, but Salt Caramel Essence just tasted too "chemically" for my tasters. I thought that these Sprinkles might just work, so I baked a batch yesterday, and added an arbitrary amount of the sprinkles to the dough, plus a small amount of the essence,just to spread the flavour a bit. This turned out to be a bigger success than the Coconut ones, which a lot of people love. As the photo shows, the grain of the sprinkles is clearly visible, which adds to the aesthetics of the biscuits. It also gives the biscuits a little bit more "crunch" than normal, which is perfectly acceptable, as I always add another ingredient to my other shortbreads to achieve this parameter. Now, I simply reduce the amount of the other ingredient to balance it out. The pack is only 100g, but it's good value.
