S1 Lifer Helmet for Skateboarding, BMX, and Roller Skating

I love the color! I had a hard backwards fall during roller derby and slammed my head very hard. Luckily I was wearing this helmet and a mouth guard. I definitely would have had a concussion or worse. No dents or even scratches to the helmet.

I ride a scooter at my local skatepark. I got this helmet because it was certified and my other helmet was not. Since I was getting better, I thought having some better protection would be great. As I got the helmet, it felt amazing. It is extremely comfortable and it honestly feels like it is not even there. The week after I got it, I fell off my scooter from 8 feet over concrete. I slammed my back into the ground and hit my head really hard. I am thankful I was wearing the helmet or else something seriously bad could have happened. My head felt fine however, and the helmet completely absorbed the impact. I highly recommend this helmet (or this brand I should say) if you are doing some sort of action sport (scootering, bmx, skateboarding, rollerblading, etc..) Because you never know when you will fall, and having to spend $60 on a helmet is better than thousands on medical bills.

Honestly I’ve been looking for a helmet that sits low on the head like this that doesn’t make me look like a mushroomAnd the best part is it’s actually a certified helmet for high impact so I feel much safer wearing it than any other helmet I have.Just get it you won’t be disappoint.And to top it off it’s the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn.The sizing is on point just follow their instructions to finding your size with a soft tape measure.

I’m sure it’s a great helmet, but beware when it comes to the colors. Amazon pictures are very deceiving. I purchased Kelly Green Matte and it’s nowhere close to being that shade of green pictured. Beyond disappointed. I went to the S1 website and the colors are more accurate. So yes, I believe Amazon has false advertising when it comes to the colors of these helmets. I should have purchased directly through S1 and next time I will!

I got this helmet last month for mountain boarding and I am in love with it. It is definitely protective and I am happy to trust my skull to it. I ordered this in black but they were out so I replaced it with green l that was fine since either was fine. That is about the only complaint but they refunded my shipping so it's okay. The helmet came in a nice little box and had a few stickers, pamphlet and extra soft pads. The soft pads are what make the helmet different sizes as the shell is the same. I ordered the large since my head is about 22 inches and it did like a glove. The great thing is it came with pads for S, M, L and XL. Now I can even let others wear it without a problem. The overall look is pretty big since I have a slim face but for the protection, it doesn't matter. Now for the most important part. The protection. As i was learning to mountain board, i hit a spot that caused the board to slide out from under me causing me to fall backwards and slide to a stop. This was on a heavily used gavel road. I hit, my had bounced and I slid about 20 feet. After getting up and limping to my girlfriend, because of a couple of torn muscles in my lower leg, she freaked out wondering if I was okay because of how hard my head hit the ground. I was confused because I didn't feel any pain in my head, none. I didn't even notice my head hit and the only reminder was a scuff on the back of the helmet. I will never ride without it. I highly recommend this helmet to everyone.

The helmet is sturdy and beautiful. Deducting one point as there is no way to adjust the size except for using different liners which you have to pay $11 to get. Also, don't make the mistake of buying from the S1 website directly. I did it once and had to pay for shipping when the size doesn't fit and I needed to return.

My youngest kid insisted on this helmet because I told him that he needed to protect his melon. His older brother has this brand helmet too and it is incredibly durable. As a matter of fact it's the only thing that actually held together through his adolescence. I knew I wanted this brand for my other son and was delighted to see the variety of styles available. It was a decent price for that brand and it was delivered on time.

Awesome fit and quality. Not like other helmets where it feels like the helmet is sitting on your head too high.Fits really well. Follow the size chart. Buy and you won't regret it.Top notch quality.
