This gem got put to the test on our beach trip last week and it held up beautifully! The wind was not playing around our first couple of days there as you can see from the video. It was SO easy to set up and break down! Incredibly light and fit in its convenient carrying bag. Saved so much space in our car compared to our old heavy tent. These things alone made it worth every single penny! Watch the video about set up and pay attention to it and you should not have any issues. Be aware though, you can see the sunshine through it a little bit. It does not completely block the suns rays. It also can get a little warm if there is not a lot of breeze. These things were not a big deal to us. It offered us the shade we needed to cool down and nap on the beach. I highly recommend this sun shade👍👍

Only reason this thing got. 4 Stars was because the bungee(s) that hold the ball ends on the posts is not strong enough to stay in strong wind. Will be replacing those with something stronger but this thing stood up to Fort Fisher Beach Winds. Simply posted the side facing the wind and allowed the tail end to fly freely with sandbag weight only. Very Impressed with 1st use (used it twice on one vacation)

Absolute Trash – Completely Useless in Real Beach Conditions I almost never write reviews, but this Botindo beach canopy is easily one of the worst products I’ve ever bought on Amazon. My brother‑in‑law and I spent about two hours on the beach off the coast of Galveston trying to set this thing up. We followed the instructions step by step, laid everything out, stretched the fabric, positioned the poles exactly like the manual says. No matter what we did, it simply would not stay up. The main problem is the poles. They are **extremely** flimsy, thin aluminum that cannot handle anything close to normal beach wind. We were getting maybe 15–20 mph gusts, nothing crazy for a beach, and the poles were literally bending and collapsing with every gust. The whole canopy just kept folding over and falling down. It was a complete waste of time and incredibly frustrating. If there’s absolutely **no wind at all**, maybe this could work in someone’s backyard for a bit of shade. But for an actual beach? Forget it. The design just doesn’t hold up, and the materials feel cheap and weak. Do not waste your time or money on this. Save yourself the headache and buy a standard folding canopy from somewhere like Academy instead. This Botindo beach canopy was a total failure for us and one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made.

I love this tent! Took it to South Carolina shoreline in July. It was so easy to set up. I am glad that I un packed it at home and repacked without the plastic or those bags would have been blowing down the beach. Filling the anchor bags was easy (although I wish we had a small shovel to help) I also dug shallow holes for the anchor bags to rest in to keep them from creeping. We stretched the tent as far as we could and then put the poles in. Love the big sponge ball at the top to save the fabric. This tent did great in the high winds at the beach (15 - 20) mph. Our set up and takedown was 1/3 the time of the traditional canopy tent. Highly recommended from a guy that isn't easily impressed.

I don't think these should replace a regular beach tent or shade structure. Explanation below. These are super easy to set up. If it's windy bury the sand bags and that helps, but it falling down is something you'll just have to get used it because it still happens sometimes. Provides a nice shady spot to sit under, although it's not really tall enough to accommodate beach chairs/camp camp chairs. Unless you carry around sand or rocks, you can't really use this at a park or anywhere else where sand or some sort of weights aren't readily available. The stitching is fragile and I'm worried about how long this will last before it needs to re-sewn. We have a Coleman beach tent, and while is has poles and takes a few mins to set up, it's a better experience on the beach for us. We put it up and go about our day on the beach and take it down when we're done. That's it. I love the novelty of this and that's what sucked me in, plus it's light weight and easy to bring in the beach bag. But it's not the best option for us, and it's wildly over priced for some cheap fabric and a couple poles.

Great product , easy to put up and take down by yourself . Case makes it easy to transport.

I wish it was better, as this was going to be our fishing shade shelter. Couldn't use it for a minute.
