Enokitake Mushroom (Flammulina velutipes) Liquid Culture Syringe Sample for Mushroom Growing Cultivation on Grain or Agar

Didn’t produce anything

The media could not be loaded. Great healthy looking culture, got it into my 2 quart jars of culture suspension, it’s growing nicely and it’s only been 2 days so far! All work of mine is done with sterilized equipment in front of a laminar flow hood. UPDATE VIDEO 3-12!!!

Got a syringe with an amber liquid and got the right package of medium. Had absolutely no results followed the directions completely. Waited a year with no results. I don't know if there was anything in the syringe or the amt that was suppose to be.

The syringe was full of liquid, but only had a very small amount of visible mycelial growth. I managed to get it to the needle end of the syringe and inoculated my grain. It began to grow in less than 24 hours, which is great! However, I don’t think the rest of the syringe has anything other than the liquid medium in it. I’ll throw some on an agar dish and see what happens.I’m guessing this was an exception, not the rule, for this company. I say this because I also ordered Lion’s Mane and Chestnut and they were both packed full of mycelial growth!

I am not a mushroom expert so it would have been nice if instructions were included in the package. For example, where to plant, when to plant, and care after planting. I was hoping to seed my property with these mushrooms. I was not growing in a controlled environment so instructions would have been great. I checked the website. They have a rap video about the company but no documentation. The company doesn't get it.

Looks like mold. But from what ive seen on line. Thos.is.how it grows. Guess well see soon nuff

Sterile syringe with separate sterile wrapped needle. Visual inspection clearly showed a knot of mycelium. Used this to inoculate a sterile grow bag, waiting to see results. Will post update on progress.7/16/24 Update:strong mycelium mass present and water vapor from growth in sealed bag is obvious, fruiting bodies starting to form on top of soil (photos). Will wait for a fluch to confirm morels then use mass in bag as inoculant for fine sawdust bed next to decomposing wood pile. So far, as advertised!

I was not impressed with the amount of mycelium present as the syringe did not contain much at all compared to other reviewers.Never the less I planted it; some in used coffee grounds with ground wheat flakes and the other half in hardwood pellets and ground wheat flakes. Both appear to be growing a healthy amount of mycelium.Since there was not much mycelium in the syringe compared to the growth medium I was unable to instill any into a log as I had hoped.
