You can't put the big blocks of cheese straight into the freezer because they can't be cut once they are frozen. This knife is the perfect tool for cutting big cheese blocks - the grip on the handle is very stable and allows you to put the whole weight of your palm, arm, and shoulder into slicing through the cheese. There is no cheese that is too tough to cut with this type of knife, as a result, and the sharpness of the blade doesn't really affect the ease of cutting through these blocks of cheese.

This is my go to cutting tool to cut up those big blocks of cheese that come from the grocery store. I love this product!!!! It is sturdy and made well and is about 1/3-1/5 of the price of other products for the same purpose. Fits in my hand nicely and doesn’t slip when cutting harder product, and easily cuts all product!!!! Would definitely buy again!!!!
