Italian Carboy 5 Gallon for Wine, Beer and Kombucha Home Fermentation

These are super nice and a good size for getting water. They are sturdy and get the job done. We bought a rechargeable pump and and cover to make using this easy. We kept it up on a nice little table.

These are great for storing water. I prefer storing the 5 gallon Carboy in a water closet to keep them out of the way. These are made of very thick glass and worth the price. I have bumped them into each other while storing and no chips or cracks thus far. These can be used for fermentation as well, with other items necessary for the process. I purchased lids and handles separately. The handle helps moving them easily without actually lifting the bottle. These are great to have on hand for their many uses. Many uses for these 5 gallon glass bottles; water, wine, wiskey, one could even create a terrarium with soil and seeds in this as well.

I like these, as I do not like having plastic in my water , I have not broken them yet and they fit into a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket pretty well, which helps with transportation just keep in mind when they are filled with water they are quite heavy, so just be aware of that. I have the physical capability of carrying them relatively easily. But just keep that in mind that this full glass jug is probably 50 pounds or more. One tiny gripe is that when they arrived, they were in Styrofoam, and I understand why they’re in Styrofoam however it got in the jug and it was kind of a chore to make sure I got all of the Styrofoam out of the container that I’m drinking water from

Great and Thick

Purchased to replace an older bottle lost during a move. Used for water. I’ve discovered that when filled with (Los Angeles) tap water this allows chemicals to break down over a short period of time. [Chlorine is unstable and breaks down quickly.]. Leaving wonderfully tasting water that friends frequently mistake for filtered or treated watez. Unsure if Borosilicate glass is used but certainly should be.

I gave this 4⭐️’s only because it is loose in my top load water bubbler. Quality is great, I just have to get a bottom loaded bubbler now 😏

High quality Italian glass The first one never arrived and the communication from Amazon sucked and kept us wondering and waiting and showing everyday for almost a week it was “out for delivery” had to call Multiple times which was as rediculous We asked for refund and later re-orded and received it.
