Royal Instant Pudding Dessert Mix, Butterscotch, Fat Free (12 - 1.8 oz Boxes)

Royal is an old name in pudding, I remember it as a child. It came very well packed too. Despite the diminutive size of the individual package it made a full amount of pudding with good flavor, color and taste. It mixed easily and setup quickly. No complaints here.

It mix well with milk. Great taste easy to make

This is my favorite flavor in the fat-free, sugar-free pudding mixes but I can not find butterscotch in any of my local markets. I order this whenever I can find you have in stock. Good product.

Purchased items to make neighborhood Christmas gifts. IE Fresh Cinnamon Rolls baked on pecans, butter and pudding mix. Wonderful recipe I have used for years.

With electric ice cream maker, I add this (sugar free) to milk for thickening, then whatever sugar free additive comes to mind. Viola! Sugar-Free ice cream in whatever flavors I desire. As a diabetic, couldn't ask for anything better. I've recently used it with plain yogurt for frozen yogurt....yummy, but slightly sour, so still in experimental trials.

I've been having trouble locating butterscotch pudding, particularly the "instant" variety. The big box stores in the area don't seem to offer either the instant or "cook and serve" varieties. One chain sometimes has an empty box on the shelf, which is no help. I've sometimes found the cook and serve variety of Jello brand which is great, but more nuisance to prepare. The Royal variety, I've found, is lacking in butterscotch flavor and leaves an after-taste. I'd wondered about one reviewer which mentioned the "coffee grounds" in the pudding, now I know what he/she was referring to. The pudding lacks the smooth consistency of the Jello brand. I won't be buying this again, not sure what I'll do with the remaining eleven boxes in the order after trying one of the twelve.

Couldn’t find this instant pudding in any of the stores in my area. I decided to see if Amazon had it. It came 6 packet. I make it for my 99 yr old father and make a dessert mixing it with canned pumpkin and cinnamon. Delicious

I have always loved Butterscotch pudding. I couldn’t find it locally so I ordered a set of 10 on Amazon. I made some up the night before last and used it. It didn’t taste as strong as I remembered. It was very weak. Last night I ate some again. Again, weak tasting. I was putting food away earlier this evening and I noticed the container and was shocked ! It was fine last night, but within 24 hours, it turned lime green in color except for on top. That was still a tan color. Obviously, I asked for a refund explaining why and they gave it to me immediately. They said I didn’t have to return the rest of the boxes. I would like to know WHY this changed color ! That is about the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen ! The milk was well within expiration date. I mixed it according to directions and put it in that container and the only times it was out of the refrigerator was when I was eating it the last two nights - NOT tonight. I would like to know WHY this happened ! I might make another box and see if this same thing happens. Hate to waste 2 cups of milk by doing so but I don’t want this happening to anyone else !
