These are delicious & 2 meals!!
I absolutely loved the purple sweet potatoes!!! I was surprised b/c they didn’t taste like traditional sweet potatoes but more like a regular white potatoes but absolutely delicious & I understand they are packed with nutrients!!! They arrived in great shape and 1/2 of one purple potato was enough for a full meal! A little butter, salt, & pepper… YUM!!!

WASTE OF YOUR MONEY
These purple sweet potatoes were old. For those of you who may know nothing about purple sweet potatoes, they are a vibrant violet color when they are good and within their prime. When purple potatoes are getting old, they lose their purple hues for a pastel purplie pink color. When they become purple beyond consumption or even available to propagate (growing slips aka long stems) to grow more purple sweet potato) their color then changes to pastel pinkish grey with off white spots inside; eventually leaving to turn all white or all light grey. I chopped mine upon arrival and they were already pinkish with off while spots. I decided to give it a shot juuuuuuust in case a miracle would occur. I soaked one in clean water before I attempted to propagate it by keeping it submerged in water and changed the water daily for over 2 weeks aaaaand nothing. Not a single root, not a single stem or leaf , not a thing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME IF YOU ARE WISE! I wonder how long ago the ones I got were harvested? Mid 2020? Idk

took a while sprout but I was patient
I bought this to sprout and plant. Took a while to sprout slips but it did. I planted 4 slips last summer in a large grow bag and yielded 5lbs. I will be planting much more slips next time. They have great taste and texture, and retain their purple color after cooking. It's not as sweet as the Batata I grew from store-bought. But love this purple sweet potato anyways.

Buy the same thing at Sprouts *Stokes brand
These are the "stokes" brand. I've found them at Sprouts in my area for 1/4 the cost. I was hoping to add another variety of purple slips, but now I just have more of the same. It would have been easy for the seller to cite the brand name, but they did not. 3 stars because quality was good but price was ridiculous for something readily available and not unique at all!

3 out of the 5 potatoes were rotted.
Just a rotted mess in the bag. The 2 I was able to wash off and salvage are sitting in mason jars by the window. Hoping those 2 sprout at least. I cut into one of the 3 potatoes that were rotted and they are a beautiful purple. Also the 2 that I put in the jars have holes in them assuming they are from bugs of some sort. Hopefully I’m not about to introduce my home to a new bug.

Grew dozens of potatoes from just a few slips
I made slips from these and put them in 2x 5x10 raised bed and they totally took over! I harvested a couple to test them out and they are gorgeous and taste fantastic. There are dozens of potatoes these slips have grown, im thinking maybe even over 100.
