Go to sunscreen for our beach vacations. One of the few that has great coverage and doesn’t turn you white. It’s pretty thick so you do go through it quickly if you reapply often. But it’s worth it!

Hands down the best natural sunscreen we’ve ever used! We are from northern Indiana so not much skin exposed to the sun during winter time. We were all very white, my husband, our 4 year old and myself. We went to Florida for vacation and were on the beach a lot and in the full sun. This stuff performed AMAZINGLY! We only had to apply once and it literally lasted ALL day, even though we were in the water, sand, etc. Very waterproof and AMAZING sun protection. We didn’t get burnt at ALL. It isn’t too thick like some zinc sunscreens either. Spreads very easily on the skin. You can rub it in completely too so there’s no white cast showing and it works perfectly. You don’t have to look white for it to work. It made my skin look so glowing and moisturized. It is a tiny bottle though and mine arrived with a big slice in the bottle and sunscreen everywhere. I didn’t have time to order another one before we left on our trip so I just taped it shut over the cut and it worked fine. But maybe a little better packaging would help! 100% ordering again and so glad to finally have found a good, safe and affective sunscreen for the whole family!!

I found this sunscreen because I was concerned about the harmful ingredients found in many other popular sunscreens. I looked up ratings on EWG and found the handful of top rated suncreens and this lotion was the highest rating you could get for a relatively affordable price in a lotion formula. PROS: Goes on well, not too greasy or thick. I thought the smell was just fine - I had seen some reviews saying the smell was horrible but I didn't experience that at all. It worked great on the kids and adults and seemed to be effective in the pool for a few hours in the sun and water. CONS: It's a smaller bottle at a higher price point - but I think that's what you end up paying for something that's higher quality and safe. I think we'll go through this bottle pretty quick, it's a bit small, especially for a family with kids. I did notice a slight white cast once in the water, but it wasn't excessive and it seemed to absorb in better with time. I will continue to keep buying this sunscreen and also will be looking for a safe sunscreen stick. I could see myself using this lotion for faces and finding a stick for the rest of the body, but until then I'll use this one all over.

Have been using the Babo Botanicals Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for a couple of years now and really impressed. I have light skin and lots of sun damage from the past so I'm very picky about what I use. Also, cannot stand the smell of non-mineral sunscreen, so love a good mineral that blends easily. When I use a smaller amount and do a section at a time, this one blends nicely with no white cast. Mineral sunscreens tend to be a little dry, but this one does not dry my skin out, and washes off easily. I have yet to get much sun at all with this stuff on, even in FL, which is a good thing!

I have a UV sensitivity, meaning I can't be exposed to sun for very long. So I always have sunblock in my purse. I prefer the mineral ones because of potential skin irritation (my skin can get very sensitive when in the sun). My biggest issue is most mineral sunblocks transfer the white film to clothes and well.. the car. Being the type of person who wears dark colored clothes (okay, black. Goths wear black) and having a black interior in my car (and I spend a lot of time in the car for work), getting white streaks all over everything is not ideal. I've noticed that this one doesn't transfer a lot of white onto my clothes or anything that I come in contact with. A little bit, yes. There will always be something. But they meant it when they said sheer. My last sunblock left behind a lot of white on everything. And it does seem to do its job for blocking UV rays. I'm not the best for assessing that because even in the 90°+ weather, I wear long sleeves and pants (the sunblock is for extra protection for the covered skin, protection for the little bit exposed skin). But on the little skin that's exposed, it seems to block as much as any other 50 SPF sunblock. I haven't seen much tanning, though I do avoid exposure at all costs, when I can't avoid it, the sunblock is working well.

It says non greasy but it was very sticky to the feel. I play golf with my son weekly and Sunscreen/Sunblock is a must for us. I used this product on the day we went to see the LPGA KPMG Tournament in Frisco, TX and my shoulders were burnt. My arms were fine as they can tolerate more sun but this product did not hold up to blocking strong UVA UVB around the shoulders. I came home all burnt on my shoulders just from walking in the sun for 2.5 hours. I also had a big golf umbrella that I had to use every now and then due to the heat, but because of some strong winds and noise making especially around the green, I had to fold my umbrella from time to time. So, the sunblock didn't work for me. Hence, the sticky feel is not good for sports as it attract dust, dirt and sand to stick on to you. So, I don't recommend this if you are fair skinned and burn easily. However, I will try products by Babbo Botanical for a fair review. Image attached is two weeks after the sunburn.

The best sunscreen protection for me. Great for children too as the ingredients are so natural and harmless! It doesn’t leave skin white and is absorbed very quickly.

Finally a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast on darker skin and has an SPF of 50. You just have to shake it up a bit before you apply.

I love the gentleness of such a mighty physical sunblock! Nice cacao scent too! Highly recommended.
