I got this for my nephew, who's turning six and has a little trouble with reading—he's in summer school to work on it. There's nothing he loves more than Minecraft. I'm hoping reading these with him will encourage him to keep trying, and the books make that feel possible. The stories are cute and engaging, not condescending. The illustrations break up the text nicely, which matters when a kid is building confidence with reading. The paper stock is decent and the binding feels like it will hold up through repeated reading. The narratives acknowledge Minecraft mechanics in ways that feel thoughtful rather forced, so even I don't mind reading them. Getting all six books at once is convenient. If this works, there are several more Minecraft book sets I can use as bribes to keep him reading. For a kid who's motivated by a favorite game and needs some encouragement with literacy, this is a solid tool.

Perfect set of books for a nine year old. Kids just love to read books that they like are interested in. They are such a great gift.

My 6 yo just loves reading these books each night before bed. And they’re reasonable entertaining for me too. I’ve learned about Minecraft! The vocab from the books is pretty good too - a great way to teach new words each night at bedtime.

My daughter loves Minecraft and this box set was a hit. It arrived in great condition, no issues with the binding. We'll likely be able to pass these down to our youngest daughter if she likes Minecraft when she gets older.

My 7 year old loves reading these stories with me! We make it a nightly ritual before bedtime each night, and I’m also learning a lot about the Minecraft world, as a mother who never played it before.

My kids are currently obsessed with anything Minecraft. My 7 year old is a little slower when it comes to reading and she gets bored very easily. Her big sister has more complicated Minecraft books and she would get frustrated because “too many words”. I happen to stumble across this series at T*rget, but they wanted $40 for the set. I of course looked it up on here and at the time it was like $25. No brainer to get it here. Happy to say she loved all of them. The pictures were great and the words were just right. I’m glad I found a series that made her feel engaged and “not bored”.
