Does the cap help hold the ears down? My infants skin is too sensitive to use the adhesive.

The cap will hold your babies ears down. It's meant to be used in conjunction with the stickers but using the cap alone would also be beneficial. I found that when I put the cap on my son it kept his ear from folding over when he slept with his head turned.
