Finally something working for my port scar!
My port scar widened in the six months the port was in, even constantly using silicone strips. After the port was removed and the scar revised, it was starting to widen again. I've only used Embrace for ten days so far but just yesterday I started noticing a visible difference in it, with it fading and not widening more. Compared to other scar strips, it is way more convenient since I don't have to keep removing and washing it. It does start coming off the skin before the requisite ten days, but since it is still on there even if it's barely attached, I think it still works to support the skin, even if it isn't holding it fully closed. I also have fairly sensitive skin - allergic to most bandaids, tegaderm, steri strips, all types of paper tape, rock tape - and it has only had a very mild reaction. Since I'm not worried about hypertrophic scarring and the scar is fully closed, my main concern was just to find tape that would provide enough tension and not irritate my skin so it seems to be doing that job. If you're not allergic, probably rock tape would be sufficient and a LOT cheaper. Steri strips placed perpendicular to the scar would also support it adequately (I read a study specifically on this). However, these are not options for me.

It won't work if it won't stay on.
These are super expensive at $16 per bandage and each one is supposed to stay on for 10 days. The first one I put on lasted 5 days and started lifting all around the edges and after putting medical tape around the edges, I finally got fed up and took it off at day 7. The second one is already lifting at day 3. And yes I did follow directions to a T and used alcohol prior to application. I will not get good results if they won't stay on through showering as promised. My scar is on my thigh and there is constant rubbing from pants, etc. so these need to be very durable adhesive. Will switch to scar away after this as they are much more affordable. Very disappointed as I have a really bad scar from a precancerous excision.

Medium size is very wide - hard to return
Didn’t quite know what stars to put to make people aware that although the product seems cool (I really wanted it) the length and not width is used to determine it. My scar is next to my nose but the patch is over an inch wide even though the medium length is totally correct it is too wide to work. This isn’t really listed in the specs. Medium seems to be the smallest it comes right now (the video of the woman putting it on her forehead is using something far smaller and unavailable). This item is very hard to return even though it doesn’t say there are return restrictions, so make sure it will work for your scar placement before ordering or you’ll have to chase down amazon for days to get your money back and try to send back perfectly good unopened product. I so so so wish they made a narrow or small strip for my scar, what a bummer.

Worth it!
I have an incision scar below my collar bone from a surgery 2 months ago. I'm on my second week and can see a noticeable difference. Scar is less raised and has thinned out, nothing crazy but certainly noticeable. I applied as directed and they stayed put just fine. I will say that for me, they don't last 10 days. I'm very active (runner and gym) showering twice a day which may have something to do with it. They've lasted 6 - 7 days so realistically you may need 3 boxes for a 2 month treatment. It does say to remove when edges peel roughly 10 days so I don't think it's an issue. Seeing results this early on I feel 3 boxes will def be worth it. When I remove the pad I leave it off for a day and apply bio oil. Before this I was using a topical silicone gel and wasn't seeing any change. Although these aren't super cheap, they're fairly reasonable considering you only need to use for 2 months. They blend well with the skin and aren't irritating. Great product happy I found it!

I would question the scientific rigour or the "study" that was done on this product and I recommend to save your money and seek medical opinion for ...
I'm on the 4th round of treatment after my hip replacement surgery and I've had small areas of blistering of my skin at the ends of where the product attaches to the skin. It is minor and is repairing with topical healing cream. This happened during each of the next 3 applications (2nd, 3rd and currently 4th). Perhaps there is undue tension in those areas from the application that makes one's skin susceptible to breakdown/ or something in the product reacts with the skin to cause irritation? I had to snip the ends with scissors to avoid more damage to my skin on those areas and might have affected the adherence and results. However, I did not have a problem with the 1st application (10 days per treatment) & I didn't notice much difference in the appearance of my post-surgical scar after the 1st treatment. I've been diligent with pressing the application layer down each day after activity/ bathing/ getting dressed & undressed etc. and I haven't seen much difference either after the other applications. My last removal date is in 6 days but currently my scar doesn't look much smaller at all. I would question the scientific rigour or the "study" that was done on this product and I recommend to save your money and seek medical opinion for your particular scar for other revision methods and avoid this product.

Product works but adhesive is weak
I used 4 embrace boxes for their recommended total of 60 days. I am only 2 months post op after a cosmetic surgery. I did notice a significant difference in my scar from when I first applied, unfortunately the adhesive is very weak. I had to purchase Mckesson tape to keep these scar patches on. would recommend biocorneum if your scar is in a “high mobility” area like mine was.

!¡!WARNING DO NOT BUY! OUCH!!! SAVE YOUR SKIN & MONEY!
NEGATIVE -x10,00 -stars! !! ! ¡ ! W A R N I N G!!!! !!!DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! DO NOT USE NEODYNE EMBRACE SCAR THERAPY PRODUCTS!!!! NEODYNE EMBRACE SCAR THERAPY GIVES SKIN SCARS!!! VERY PAINFUL! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF & LOVED ONES FROM THE TRAUMATIC EFFECTS OF THESE PRODUCTS, IF USED SKIN WILL BE SCARRED FOR LIFE!! Unfortunately, I am living proof. I purchased these products in various sizes for post operative scar therapy, used carefully & applied with the supervision of an epidermis specialists assistance. I was able to live through the pain of wearing them on my skin for a little over a week, at which point I sought medical attention for the pinching, redness & various other skin issues directly related to the wearing of Embrace Scar Therapy by NEODYNE. I was advised to remove them promptly with care & as per the instructions on the products packaging. Even with slow careful consideration, warm water, oil etc. the EMBRACE SCAR THERAPY BY NEODYNE RIPPED THE SKIN OFF COMPLETELY LEAVING A BLOODY INCREDIBLY PAINFUL & HORRIFYING MESS for my skin, my overall health & especially my mental health. The intensity of ripping skin off down to the muscle was nearly unbearable! I am now 4 MONTHS post-op & the scars on my body from Embrace Scar Therapy by NEODYNE are FAR worse than the scars left from the surgery itself! Quite unfortunately I believed the online hype & ordered a non-returnable, non-refundable (& now, unused) 6 month supply of this garbage! Supply left after my trying a few strips is shown in photo. Please do not buy this product & advise your family & friends to save themselves the same deep disappointment I face looking at Embrace scars on my body everyday.

This product absolutely worked for me!!
I must admit that I was skeptical at first, but this product absolutely worked for me!! When my knee surgery was scheduled, I started looking into scar therapy as I did not want an unsightly permanent scar to look at, which I felt would have happened had I not used this product. I had to wait until my incision site was clear and dry (I had 25 staples), which was about four weeks, and then, I had to be patient, as it took a few applications to start seeing my results. I just carefully followed the step-by-step instructions when applying the strips. (I had to use 2 strips/application due to the length of my scar, 6+ inches.) I feel that the 30 second 'holding time' after applying the strips is very important and directly related to their longevity. Initially after the first application, just to be safe, I used a plastic sleeve over my knee when showering; but when I forgot to use it one day, and the strip was not affected at all - I stopped using the sleeve. I read a few of the negative reviews, but I have to say that for me, the product lasted 10 days with each application - it was like it wasn't even there - even through my extensive physical therapy sessions, my day-to-day activities - and yes again, even stayed on while showering. You can see my results in the images submitted: The 1st pic shows my first application of the strips (the closing staple marks are still visible) - the following 2 photos show the progressive results; and the last photo is a close-up photo as of today (NOV 11, 2018) - several areas of the scar are undetectable, and the remainder is barely visible from 'eye' level. Based on the amazing results, my physical therapist began referring these strips to other patients who had asked about diminishing their own scars. I am completely satisfied with my results and personally recommended them to others. I am so glad I discovered the option of using this product.

Worth it!
I have a scar on my kneecap from surgery. I immediately noticed the difference with the two sides being pulled together and the strips have probably reduced feelings of my skin pulling. Air pockets do form for me about midway through. When I was waiting for another order, I noticed my scar raising after a few days of not having the strip on. Even though it doesn't always stay on and sometimes doesn't last 10 days, I would definitely recommend as the results are obvious.

#2 out of all the silicone sheets I tried
The design / packaging makes these a little hard to apply, and I ended up wasting one by doing it wrong. They should stay stuck for 10 days but they absolutely do not last that long. I’d say 24-48 hours tops. I have a nasty angry thick raised keloid scar on my arm, and I found that these did help reduce it. It’s almost flat now. When you apply it, make sure your skin is clean, and wipe it down with an alcohol wipe or two first to remove any unseen skin oils. I ended up putting tape over it right away to keep it secured. I did buy 5-6 different types of silicone scar reducing sheets, and these placed #2. First place goes to the silicone tape roll (that’s way less expensive) These are a pretty good product, but WAY too expensive considering they don’t stay stuck.

Came dry out of the box
Bought 2 boxes. One box was great, the other not so much… Two packs out of 3 from the second box were all dried up and pretty much useless, went directly to the trash. Other than that, the sheets work well in protecting from tensioning the scar. This is a factor that sets it apart from other brands. However the glue doesn’t stick for too long, they last about 1 week for me vs other brand 2 weeks. The applicator makes it a bit hard to apply on body parts’ creases (e.g breast fold). It would’ve been a 4-stars if I didn’t get the pruned box.

Overpriced and don’t stay on very well.
I think these might be helping with my new scars but they do not stay on very well for the full 10 days. Maybe if you don’t get them wet, but I kinda need to shower. Overpriced.
